Back in the game!

Post by iveeri »

hi, my name is Ryan (iveeri) and after a 15 year break am looking to get back in the racing scene. After looking at the other forums, this one seems to be the one for me as it seems to be a tight nit gang here. I have a gold pan i will be restoring and also have T4.1 and for Christmas my wife got me the B4.1 worlds!! Ordering 12mm shocks and bunch of other goodies for the build so as soon i am allowed to sell here I will have V2's and some vintage parts from my hay day in the 90's. Looking forward to meeting new friends here.

Welcome Ryan! Try not to get over whelmed with all the info here. Not all of us know every single thing about vintage RCs, just most of us. Not me though, I forget what I did a half hour ago.

lol, i will post pics of my gold tub i plan to rebuild tomorrow. I will need some suggestions on it because when i was a kid i had a brilliant idea of trying to make the pan look silver. I did not know what anodizing was so it is pretty ugly and needs to be refinished or something.

my guesstimate would be soon, 2013. The B4 released in 2003 so I would bet on B5 with 12mm shocks, etc coming soon since this platform has been out for 10 yrs. I actually emailed associated on this early November before i ordered my b4.1, they never replied.

I've heard rumors of a B4.2 before a B5? :?: With the B4.2 and T4.2 having hex wheels updated steering rack and 12mm shocks like the B44.2. They would never say if something new was coming out because it would leave a lot of hobby stores with old cars on the shelf.

I would be happy either way. the only reason i would think they would use b5 is because they have been using b4 for 10 yrs.
