My 2 boxes will be shelf queens until Associated re-releases the re-release so I can buy more.

Well it's going to remain sealed away in it's time capsule. Original plans were for 2 rere's so I could build one and hoard one... but I got actual vintage ones to restore so didn't need 2

Gonna use it for a project and build 1 or 2 originals to run with it

I voted some minor running and started building last night. I am at a stand still until bearings show up... I will post a build thread tonight...

None of the above. Holding out for a Graphite chassis rere. Probably won't happen though. Not really into the metal tubs after recently playing with carbon.

Race it, build link above
Thinking about buying a 2nd to rob for parts. I snagged a never run graphite with a poor dye job. All those parts are now black and would look perfect on a fresh gold pan. All the fresh white parts would look great on the graphite chassis

i built mine relatively stock. gonna drop in something over the top for power, run it till the trans grenades, then dig through my stash and do something crazy and different if im still in the mood to mess with an rc10.

Re: What will you be doing with your new classic?
I will keep one NIB, one shelfer and run one. Not sure what direction the runner will take yet.

Going to run the heck out of mine. Race track, in front of the house, the desert, the park, sand dunes, you name it.

Re: What will you be doing with your new classic?
There's a gravel pit just 1½miles from my house and the beach is only 10 miles to the westca-rj wrote:Going to run the heck out of mine. Race track, in front of the house, the desert, the park, sand dunes, you name it.
and there's even a forest with mountain bike trails 10 miles to the north
That''s where I'll drive most of the time
Until the 10th scale track at my friends house is finished

Re: What will you be doing with your new classic?
I voted limited use but that's for the one I will build. The other one I am keeping sealed up for now.
I am really curious about aftermarket stuff like Jconcepts pieces for the rc10 classic, but not sure if I would get those parts for the one sealed in the box or build another from the re-re parts and aftermarket.

Re: What will you be doing with your new classic?
I voted for regular running because these cars were meant to be run. The RC10 is a car I remember well as a kid as it was in every RCCA but I never had any interest in getting one back then (too focused on Tamiya cars) and certainly never drove one. Fast forward ~25 years and my interest in the RC10 increased so I had been contemplating a used original vs the re-re since I pre-ordered mine last June concluding that it made more sense to run a re-re than an original so I don't have to worry about an "original" getting thrashed not to mention it gives me the opportunity to build a NIB gold pan which is priceless. I'm no hoarder and do not have a long-standing love for AE/RC10 like some so I ordered ONE re-re to run and will not be ordering another no matter if/when they decide to re-re the next generation (stealth, graphite, CE, etc). That kind of discipline keeps my collecting in check and keeps the wife happy.
