C&M Cobra III graphite (I think!)
I have seen listings in RCCA for the Cobra III graphite and I'm pretty sure this is it. Can anyone confirm? I also found an ad showing this chassis layout as a LTOOR but not as a graphite.
Just finished up a mild restoration. It's not perfect but it is unique with the crazy weave and will sit well next to my 1/8 electric Cobra

Oh wow! I've never seen
6k plainweave on a 1/12 car before looks really odd!

1/10 but that just makes the weave look that much bigger. The crazy ugly weave is what made me want it, as I sure don't recall seeing this pattern on anything else! It's lumpy (you can feel the weave) and very flexible but also precisely cut so I'm pretty sure it's oemCharlie don't surf wrote:Oh wow! I've never seen

I tried to contact them on the 1/8 electric and was basically told they don't keep any old literature around, made it sound like they didn't care at all about their past

That's even funnier The 6K is a very large pattern (obviously) and wasn't really used in R/C applications due to the, well...the look You do see it on real race vehicles ofter though.gomachv wrote:1/10 but that just makes the weave look that much bigger. Re: C&M Cobra III graphite (I think!)
Here is the LTOOR I had in the past.
I have cleaned it up for selling in the past 3 years, because I did not had any on road track in my area.
I have moved now and the nearest track is on road !!!!!
Very good experiences with this car, including heavy crash in the front.
just out of 18 years sleeping in a dark dusty place:
And after a little cleaning, just like I let it go:
This one is not graphite, but had a shock in the rear.
Also a nice reinforcing brace in the front (hop up part from Cobra):
Nice to see a Cobra again.
Great car you have, and really rare!

Very nice! Glad to see a real LTOOR so I know what I have. Mine lacks the shock, aluminum posts for the pod damper mount, and pivot ball on the t plate. Not certain on the exact version still, I would love to find out for sure

Re: C&M Cobra III graphite (I think!)
Your car is really strange...it looks like the LTOOR Sport because of the suspension, but it has a carbon fiber chassis. I'm looking at the sport description and I don't see a graphite chassis option. The top plate of your car looks like the sport....so I don't know why there would you have a graphite option.gomachv wrote:Very nice! Glad to see a real LTOOR so I know what I have. What year are we talking for release or review in RCCA Jeff? I might have some info here. Only takes a second to check the mags.gomachv wrote:Very nice! Not positive but all the C&M ads were very small and hard to see I have the review of the 1/8 but I haven't seen any reviews of the Cobra III. It would have been 91ish
