I was scouring our local surplus store and came upon something I couldn't leave without! This stainless steel 4u server case must have cost some business serious money a few years ago. I had been looking for a 2u case but I'm stingy. This one set me back a whopping $15! Now I need to set up the shelf for it.

Hi Jeff,

That's not being stingy, it's called being frugal.

A worthwhile skill that has been lost.

Cheers, Frugal Dave. :)

didnt want the PC just the case. Buuuuuut......Mach3 likes the older OS better so I could have kept it. It also requires a parallel port. The machine inside is modern AMD quad core with Win7 and a pci parallel port. Everything turned off and no internet access.

Got a few more components, namely a killer little power supply and a Gecko stepper controller. Now it's time to fit it all in one box :-)

One step forward and one step back! Removed the bulky PC and went to an all in one dell. Sitting on an adjustable arm that is bolted to the 3/4" MDF back. I have wanted to build a bit of a shield for a while to control dust anyway so this accomplished a couple goals. I've freed up some room and hopefully will start building the new cnc machine soon- I can't believe it's taken this long
