Well, I got photos but yours are much better than mine.
Was planning to travel to Walnut Ridge AR but weather looked a bit dodgy so switched to Paducah KY but it was looking a little cloudy so we stayed home and, between the rain clouds, was able to watch the whole event -- well, 89% anyway. Really cool!!
Can't wait for the next one. Think I'll be like 109 then.

I took nearly 50 pics and only could salvage a few.
But I did get full eclipse, a "Diamond ring" shot and captured the Baily's Beads effect.
The upper clouds were thin and blurred the pics.
The salvageable pics were fleeting glimpses through lower more dense clouds.
1st total eclipse for me and it was way darker than I imagined.
Only a glowing ring with an odd red spot in the quite dark sky.

These were my eclipse viewing shades for the day. I forgot all about the eclipse, and then while it was happening, I remembered this technique from the last time one rolled around. Works like a champ!

That's exactly how I did it when one went across Oregon about 6-7 years back!
So the world didn't end, then? No dogs and cats fornicating? No (more) aliens? Joe Dirt didn't explode? Right, I'm off the the "Things that irritate you" thread......

My dog and cat fornicated. It was a bit confusing. My wife and I had quite a discussion over what "style" it was...
Sounds like a yoga position , " rising dog , submissive cat "
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.

I am not sure how much my wife paid for this tug toy for one of the dog's Christmas stockings, but the fact that it makes each of us laugh every time we see it 3+ months later, makes it easily one of the best investments we have ever made! It is always moving, so surprises us every time!

I've seen a few "Dog toy or Sex toy?" memes.
Lemme guess.....the "Kong". What I want to know is, is it my fault or their fault for me immediately thinking "sex toy" upon seeing the Kong for the first time?

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
This guy is a school teacher from Pontiac and he was on a field trip to Springfield a couple years ago when this picture was taken. His name is Paul Aplington.
I don't care who you are, that's funny.

Speaking of The Kang:
When I was little, we lived in Tupelo, Elvis' Hometown, I went to Elvis Presley Day Care Center while the Folks worked. It was the Building that the Museum/Gift Shop is now, right behind the TWO ROOM House his family lived in....
Hey I've noticed that my resized pictures just don't have the clarity I would like. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to improve them? I am taking them at a fairly high resolution and they show every speck at full size.
Thanks!

Does your camera have a macro setting if so use it for close ups? Just a suggestion.
So I opened a sealed package of a3005 transmission parts to find this. I do mean sealed, I had to cut the bag open. My luck is terrible. If only I could go back in time and find who packaged these.
