Franken-truck build
The local RC scene is basically non-existant as far as racing, but once a year they have a Motorsports show for all the local 1:1 racing, and they hold an RC demo. http://www.dirtoval.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28058
11 classes and I have 0 cars that fit into any of them.
I just got a team car off ebay and was considering turning that into an EDM, but I am having a hard time finding 1/4" axle rear foams (pre-mounted) and by the time you add up the cost of the f/r wheels, edm body, and an oval rear body mount, that is quite a lot for a single race.
So I decided to try to make something out of what I had. I took the suspension off the team car, added a truck noseplate and switched over the suspension from my backup GT.
I already had truck foams, all that is needed to get it going is to put a long body mount post in the rear and drill a hole.
I hope the ESC gets enough cooling air

YEAH! Another Sermos/Powerpole user! I feel like I am the only one, most everyone uses Deans.
I refer to them as IDIOT plugs, unless you are colorblind, its hard to confuse what color goes with what.
Car looks great.

Re: Franken-truck build
Thanks for the kind words.
I love the powerpoles. they are only $1 each and you never have to worry about having too many of one side and not enough of the other as they are genderless.
