Factory Works “no Fox given” chassis set

Post by GoMachV »

This is our new chassis set for the Fox and Nova Fox. It took us a while to come up with this design. We use a similar interlocking setup as our Hotshot. We have two sets of servo mount holes, you can leave it offset or center it up. We designed it to reuse the driver figure because, well, its kind of a Tamiya thing. Still plenty of room to run a standard or shorty lipo in the standard location, or you can move the electronics and run a shorty down the center.

Just before my prime a bit but always liked the fox and this maybe the reason I need one now. As I understand lots of people raced the fox until the invention of the RC10, and the inevitable overly complicated and specialized RC racing we see today? Ooops, I digress, back on topic, nice work!

That's an awesome upgrade for the Tamiya Fox! I have my original Fox from when I was a kid, and would love to bring it up to a more modern standard -is there a way to acquire this chassis? Thank you, Brad

Damn, awsome design, took the babies toy factor totally away from the fox! Impressive

Spent some time the last few weeks making the Factory Works Fox chassis better. I was never completely happy with version 1, the wonky stock steering was carried straight over and the crazy Ackerman just drives me nuts. The v2 now has our ball bearing steering kit slid in there with the entire front end worked over to accept it. Really excited to see the terrible novafox sway bar actually functioning and the body fitting without any trimming or redrilling.

It will still take a while to get the instructions written up but overall I am very happy with the way this new version is working out. Hopefully within a week or so I will have these listed on the Factory Works website.

The Fox is one Tamiya I never owned but this makes me want one for a runner. Nice job!

I like it way more in natural GRP , excellent job .

Same here. I did one in black too but it all just blends together.

I loved my Fox as a kid and I raced the heck out of it but track-side maintenance was a nightmare with the enclosed chassis! This one would be a dream in comparison...although I did drown my Fox a couple of times but got away with it because of that chassis!
