has anyomne come across a modern, more-or-less equivalent replacement for the original stealth slipper spring, aka p/n 6587?
On another note - was there anything so special about the "thrust washer assembly" p/n 6594 - looks like plain washers to me, maybe hardened?
Thanks all!
Paul

IIRC the diff spring on the RC10 classic (6gear) is actually the same size as the stealth clutch spring, the original 6gear diff spring being slightly larger.
And thanks Joe for the info too - you guys are the best

Did you buy them all?
Yes I actually did - there were only a couple of them left.

I'm going to revive this thread for 2022.
I am wondering if some of the slipper issues I have had are due to an old springs.
Is there a spring that is in production that can substitute?
Does anyone have information on the 6587 slipper spring for the v1 stealth?
Does anyone know the spec's of the spring to order it from McMaster or Grainger?
I might as well ask about the 6 gear diff spring 6628 while I am here.
I see a few on ebay in the $15-20 range each and that seems a bit much.
I found a place the end of last year that sold springs that matched the associated spring pretty closely in bulk. I'll have to dig it up. I think I figured out that something else is readily available. Maybe a Schumacher one? I think I just searched on Amain for springs.

That Traxxas spring should be similar.

I see a few springs that seem like they could work, but posting here first is always seems to be the way to go. I don't to get a spring that fits but is too soft since the slipper will need to be clamped all the way down , or that is way to strong so it could never be adjusted correctly.
I am getting of of KidAgains CF slipper pads and want to give it a fair shake.
That's a good point John,. The thrust spring and original slipper spring are super similar. I always mix them up if they are thrown together in a bag or box.
Figuring my slipper pad is gonna wear out sooner or later, and given the decreasing availability of parts for the old RC10's, hoping to find a couple of spare pads to keep in my. Haven't been able to find a relevant post on here other than how to...

you could look around for rulon sheets and cut your own. it's a task, but doable. or you could buy a slipper assembly, complete with the rulon disk, from ebay.
you didn't say what you're using your rc10 for. but if you want to run it without the...
Hello all. It's been quite some time since i've been on this forum but I'm delighted to be back - the reason being that my two little boys and me are enjoying racing some vibtage RC10 buggies between us.
However, the 6 gear on one of the CEs that...

Starting a CE rebuild for a new runner this season.Only part I haven't been able to find is the 6578 Left Outdrive hub for the 1st stealth trans. Anyone know of a suitable replacement? Not sure if the T3/B3 ones will work.Thx
I recently acquired a super clean Andy's conversion car with most of the available options from the time. It included the Graphite chassis, Andy's bulkheads, Andy's Shock Towers, Andy's trailing Arms, Front arms & Andy's body. It came with a Pink...
Hope this isn't a stupid question, but it probably is. :) Feel like I am missing the obvious here.
After 23 years of RC10 ownership, I just bought my first stealth trans a few months ago. Really, I'm kind of late to the game here. I like the...

No worries, in the picture it really does look like they are mounted on the back of a white tower, when they are actually on the front of a black tower. I had a What!!!??? instant myself when I looked back at that picture. :D
Ok, I have searched and searched and could not find any specific details regarding converting a stealth slipper to accept a B4 slipper. Please point me to a thread that details this out if you could.
Can someone let me know if there is a widely available wing replacement that is the correct dimensions to match the vintage RC10 wing? I bought a few different ones from towerhobbies.com, but they are either too big/small...none I've bought are...

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately it looks like 6184 (small wing) is out of stock at the moment :(
I'll bookmark that site though and keep checking back.
I'm looking for a replacement for LOSA 3125 9/16 x 1/4 thrust assembly as they are discontinued (as you probably already know!)
So was wondering if there was anything else that would suit.
Have looked but as yet havent found anything, any...
