Another step to calling this one done. I purchased the TBG Ford body but I think it was for the shorter chassis truck. The length wasn’t even close. I found this recently and finally trimmed and mounted it up. It’s a “correct” Factory Team GT body and it fits much better. And besides, GM is better than Ford.

For sure. I’m really starting to like the low slung low CG look of the newer style bodies more and more. I still prefer the first gen GT body, but the new trucks look good all sleek looking.

One thing I wasn’t fond of with this body. Was the placement of the exhaust stinger in relation to the pre marked location on the body. Even with the body off the angle of the pipe in relation with the chassis was a little off. A little pulling and bending of the pipe hanger it looks much better.

Here’s a few before and afters.

I had no intention of painting today, it just happened. Anyways, what’s done is done. Another rattle can Mark Pavidis inspired theme.

Todd,

For a rattle can paint job you did outstanding...i love the low slung body, the repositioning of the nitro pipe and the paint scheme.

It fits the style of a GT and just looks killer!

This is one kick ass truck GT!

Thanks Alex, one day I’ll learn my lesson and buy some liquid mask and a cheap airbrush. Kinda don’t want to though

I learned something new today  that there was more then one version of the GMC Sierra. The difference being made up in length with the "crew cab" to make it longer.

Aside from putting a receiver pack on it. I’m calling this one done.

Installed a decent condition used throttle servo so I could make the linkage without it flopping loose in the chassis. Trimmed out the windows. Put the bumper receiver pad on. And for that racer look added a fuel tank pull strap.
