Yeah, I got a taste of Tamiya's apparent misrepresentation of scale just a couple days ago.
Yea, awhile ago I bought a Clod shell thinking I could just shorten the bed and stick it on a touring chassis and have a nice lowered C10. I can't remember exactly now, but the body is like 7-7.25" wide. I can't find anything to stick under it to make it the ride I want.
Have you given any thought to printing a Clod body?
You could adjust it to fit the chassis perfectly. A lot of work, I know, and probably a long-term project but the results might be worth the effort.
Got this turd in a crap ebay deal. I cleaned her up a bit. It needs new ball cup ends and its ready for electrics . Anyone know what a good pair of brushed motors and reverseable ESC would be ? I think it'd be a nice little truck to cruise around...

Nice find! For an ESC get a EVX-2. It will run two motors nicely and has reverse and LVC if you are planning on running Lipos.
I had a good offer on a Kyosho USA-1, but I was very hesitant because these trucks aren't known for being in great condition. It was a good deal so I took the leap.
Well the truck arrived yesterday and I'm truly impressed. The body is in excellent...

I ended up selling the USA-1 to fund some other projects. I don't hold onto vehicles unless I'm going to run them and I was terrified of breaking the USA-1 so it went to a collector.
To answer your question about the steering. The sassy chassis was...
Hi, just bought a usa-1 from ebay. I have ordered ball bearings and new body to give it box art style. There are a few pieces missing, and the first i need help to fix is the connection between front and rear steering. Does anyone know the diameter...

what is this called and where can I get them? Metal-parts, one-way thing, I believe it is used to fasten the roll bar.
I placed an order from Kyoshousa and found it odd that the order was shipped from Ultimate Hobbies in Orange, CA. Kyosho seems to do unusual things in the US. First pulled out from Tower and seems like every LHS in the...
So I picked this truck up a few years ago, never cared for the electric USA-1 too much, but the Nitro version I thought was pretty nasty.
Well Nasty is what I got. At least it had minimal runtime. If I had to guess, maybe 1 fuel tank's worth is...

Shape wise they are the same. The nitro is the same as the kyosho tracker body. The electric has the cutout in the hood for the fake carbs.
Creating a separate thread so I don't hijack the Fantom Re-Re thread; I noticed Kyosho USA has the listing for the Le Mans 480T active, now. Though, they're not in stock .
I might get one for my stock-ish Rocky build, and save the 240S for...
I'm looking for some options for a replacement body for a USA-1 Nitro Crusher. The original is impossible to find at this point, with the chrome-plated plastic accessories costing more than I paid for the truck. Unfortunately (at least from what...
Local seller has a complete bone stock kyosho usa-1 electric in very good cond.
He is asking $100 I only collect, run nitros but i dig the look of this truck. Anyone know if this is a fair price?

I grabbed it last night along with a new landjump. Other than alot of dust it looks new like it was hardly ever used. I'm thinkin it was a display truck used for in store demo's, Most likely i will be putting it up for sale.
