I had these larger 1.9 inch tires with a nice scale look that I tried and didn't like on my Bruiser clone , drew up a wheel and hub cap and printed them , still not too sure , if you look at old pictures of Baja Manx buggy the rear wheels are huge ... What do you think .

Yes, it looks huge... more dragster than beach buggy...
I buy kits to build and ru(i)n them :-)

Gav', with all the love you are giving to this beach buggy, i'm starting to ask myself what are you going to do with the driver figure, because this car definitely needs one :-)

You are right it needs a driver but I'm not in love with the original, I'll probably use the torso and legs but not the head or arms , I have another character in mind .

I don't think we ever got that in the UK , same as GomachV's avatar of Speed Racer , I had to look them both up , I'm sure I saw Scooby and Saggy in a spin off cartoon in a beach buggy though .

Yep, there were a lot of cross-overs, similarities, etc. among the Hanna-Barbera cartoons. Speed Buggy wasn't nearly as popular as Scooby Doo, so that cartoon you remembered was probably an attempt to bolster Speed Buggy.

Quick Draw McGraw was their best in my opinion. Something about a horse that rides a horse still cracks me up.
