I look at BOTMs, and I don't think I am alone here, as "what is my gut reaction to that vehicle?" And you see this throughout all of the BOTM threads. "I went with XXXX because that was my first car, and I wish I never got rid of it!" "That XXX reminds me of my neighbors when I was young and I so wanted that car!" "I won my first race with a XXXX, so that one is getting my vote!" "I always wanted a XXXX, but never had the opportunity, so I am going to vote for that." "I like trucks so I voted for the truck." Etc, etc.....

At least one jerk on here votes for every Schumacher that is ever entered. Don't ask me how I know

(this isn't literally true, but close)

And I agree totally with what you said. A big part of the "build" is choosing what to build. A flawless restoration on an AMC Matador is still an AMC Matador. A half a$$ restoration on a GT350-R (or an L79 for the Chevy guys) is always gonna be cooler than that Matador.

Like most of you I love this forum because I got into the rc community a long time ago. I enjoy cars both from before and after I was active, but along with dinglem a European eye is reflecting my main interests in rc cars (except for the old stock class cars in the uk... that was queer to me  ) From all the magazines I of course knew about oval, drag, trucks, early 1/10 on road etc, but they were nearly totally off the scene in Europe. Here it was all about 1/12 indoor driving, huge interest in 1/10 offroad, and of course 1/8 on and off road. Of other non racing, hobby grade "classes", the fun cars like Tamiya rally cars, Willy, and trucks like Big Bear, Clods, Beetle, Black Foot were popular.

For this month I think both the XX and JrX2 would have been worthy winners. Although I had several friends driving Losi cars I never had one myself - I felt committed to AE and Schumacher. But I remember very well the fascination about the JrX2 - it was fantastic! I really liked the color combination on the JrX2 - thank you RogueIV for sharing! That being said I'm also VERY fond of my own Tekin

At some point I intend to get that vote 😁

There are a lot of excellent entries. I really think getting to make multiple votes (like 2) would make for some interesting results.

Congrats to morrisey0 on the win!

I forgot to put in how many days the poll would run. I was like...... why has this not ended? Thankfully, morrisey0 had a nice lead and I was able to go in and shut it down.

With Hooper and Six Pack covered, I feel Cannonball Run may be the next logical step, and I know what my pick would be! :D

Thanks to all the voters this month!!! I did a quick looking back, and this is the first time we broke the 60 vote barrier for BOTM (not BOTY) since January 2022!!
