What is left of the screw is now beneath the aluminum face, and of course any drill bit wants to bend / wander off to the aluminum. I just had to deal with a m2 screw that had broken off flush in an aluminum scale winch on a friends crawler. Being it was an m2 i really had my doubts getting it out. I used the same method I use on / cars with broken or stripped bolts and screws. I lightly welded it creating a small ball of weld on the end of the screw. Normally from here i would weld on a nut to extract it with but the little ball was more than enough to get a pair of pliers on and simply unscrew it.
Simple method if you know someone with a welder. Took more time turning the welder on than it did to do the job and extract the screw.
