Parma is back... sort of
Some of the Parma body molds are now being pulled by Mid America, a slot car shop. I have seen posts of people asking for specific bodies such as the tmaxx dump truck and I requested the grasshopper body- both were added to the website and I'm just waiting for mine to show up now. Sounds like the molds that parma had left are the ones they have which should be a good portion of them. They do have an eBay store with some bodies not listed on the website, and the website has some not listed in eBay so check both places or fire off an email if you have a request.

Ummm doesn’t $59.99 seem a tiny bit pricey
I mean I’m sure there is something of a market for these but I feel like that’s going to hold them back a bit.

It's becoming pretty common to see actually, the cost of materials keeps going up and up. The slash bodies and puller bodies are huge too, but the 1/10 pan car bodies are on the high end for sure. My grasshopper body was $30 which is pretty much what I expected for a legit real original body

Re: Parma is back... sort of
Interesting... and very cool info. Could explain why the links for bodies on the Parma/PSE website have been nonfunctional... Thank you!
That's the rough part... in say, 1990 a 6in wide stadium or buggy body cost $20?... adjusted for inflation the same body should cost $46 in 2023, given the larger proportions of a short course body $60 is not entirely out of line, and as GoMachIV said, the Grasshopper body is only $30. But I understand the urge...

I need a California Sport Truck body, but I doubt that there is much demand.

I'd fire off an email, you might be surprised. I doubt they would have much trouble selling them, heck I just picked up a Parma roller and that would be perfect for it

Re: Parma is back... sort of
Ah! So that's why the puller bodies showed up on eBay some time ago. I thought it was a bit odd as they've been discontinued for a decade or two. I just figured the seller unearthed a bunch of new old stock ones. I hesitated on buying one due to them being $73 shipped, and then was super bummed when they sold them all. Now I'm really happy to learn that they are somewhat back in production again! I suppose the price isn't too bad considering actual NOS ones were selling for triple digits before this. I bet those who recently bought the old ones for over $200 are now regretting it. That's the price I almost paid a few times.
There was even a period where I was going to commission Parma to pull a bunch for me to keep and resell. I heard that they would pull discontinued bodies if you bought enough. I'm glad I never did that either.

No sign of the Parma truck body that became the Schumacher Shotgun (and Nitro 10 mk.1) body yet.... which is probably for the best, as at those prices, once currency-converted to Australian dollaridoos, and then delivered with deficit-level postage charges, the bodies could be worth more than the chassis..... or, even me!!!
Still, I'll be keeping an eye.... and if anyone sees one, let me know

Did you know if you google image search Schumacher Nitro 10 you account for a majority of the results? 15% of the first 100 images are of your Schuey's.Incredible_Serious wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 5:28 pm No sign of the Parma truck body that became the Schumacher Shotgun (and Nitro 10 mk.1) body yet....
