1/1 Wild One Max

Not sure if everyone saw this but it looks pretty cool, not very fast but I'd give it a go.

Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

I saw they put double wishbone A-Arms under the front end. It’s similar but now it’s a 2 seater with completely different suspension. I have a 4 seat sand car with a double beam mid travel front end on it. The swinging away and back that the axle does is what makes it take such abuse off road and gives it the iconic 80’s look.

We have the parts. They are widely available, cheap, and robust. I have a feeling in Europe it could not be made road worthy with beams and swing axles. If not then I’m truly perplexed why else they didn’t put the correct suspension on.

Very cool project that for me just missed the mark. In A arm form it looks a lot to me like a “re-bodied” and long traveled Caterham.

Yeah would have been cooler if they kept the old school suspension

I personally love a decent vw beam suspension. You just can’t kill it.

Mines a little old and dirty and put away for winter but here she is
