Jack Johnson's prototype lxt Body

Post by bearrickster »

Just scored this great body on Ebay, Jack Johnsons ugly bodys on EBay that he signed at the race. the adds at the bottom. I only paid 19.00 for it great deal. I was thinking of makeing a replica LXT but what do you think keep the body uncut or mount it clear or paint it as he ran it it wont hurt the sig. their on the out side?

In 1992, at the Score Truck Nationals in Savannah Ga. My son went around and gathered autographs of the then and now famous drivers of the era. Gil Losi Jr, Jack Johnson, Cliff Lett, Tyree Phillips,"Magic" Johnson,Ron Rossetti, Jammin Jay Halsey and a couple of others that I can't identify. Body is for a JRXT OR a LXT. Signatures are (I think) in permanant Magic marker. Body has been outside and has a little dirt and grime on it, but I think can be cleaned up without losing the signatures..

DON'T USE ANYTHING BUT WATER to clean that body.

Nice score Rick. I assume that it will remain uncut and be placed on the shelf...

I bought it to put on a replica of the truck that ran at the race it was signed at? A LX-T with a JrxT chassis? but not sure? what to do with it?
You know I cant belive now one bid against me? and he shipped it I think would have taken a negative feedback and sent the money back for 20 bucks

anybody know were a set or those prototype arms are?

Nice score, I saw that a month or so ago I think the BIN was $65!! Those bodies were released by Jammin after the LXT came out but were never that popular for some reason :? As far as the machined arms, I think you're going to have to do that the hard way and make some or have them made. Just use the molded arms as a guide, I know much easier said than done :D
Mark

Aaaaahhhh crap! I'm about to get passed by that orange truck!

I thought about buying the other 3 times he posted it up. He has been selling it for a while. But I couldn't just let a body sit there. I definitely wouldn't want to paint that one,.....................well, maybe.

Well, you're lucky I didn't see that listed, you would have had to pay a bit more for it.

Great score. 8)

I dont think so it was one of those bids you just throw out their if you win then wow. if not who cares You would have won it. I would trade it for a stock LXT body I just wanted a body for my LX-T I couldnt careless about who signed it its an LX-T body for 20 bucks! I am going to cut and mount it unless I find another one to replace it
