Re: JK Racing's 91 build...not a replica, a racer
Really nice racer! What black wheels are those? I'd prefer the white dished wheels over the yellow to go with the rest of the body.
Bravo!

Re: Charging LiPo's for storage
Okay, this is a stupid question, but it's not clear to me. What do people mean when they say "storage"? A few hours, days, weeks? Can I charge up batteries a day or two before and store them overnight? Or should I wait until the day of to charge them up? Or by storage, you mean a season or...

Re: lmwong RC10 classic resurrection
Yes, a stealth transmission will fit on that chassis. The question is whether or not you will have to drill four new holes to mount it. Post a picture of the underside of your car. Let us see if the holes are already there or not. This is an AE stamped graphite chassis. Hmm, the back two holes are ...

Re: lmwong RC10 classic resurrection
Not a shapeways bumper. I don't think they can make clear parts lol. I make these bumpers on a CNC machine. The bent bumpers are bent on a metal brake. So far I have made bumpers for RC10t, RC10, and Kyosho. I also install LED lights in the clear ones for a little added cool factor lol. I put pink ...

Re: Resurrecting/Modernizing Your Vintage R/C's Electronics
Man, I wish I had found this thread earlier rather than taking the advise of the 16yo working at the LHS to help modernize my 20 yo buggy. This would have saved me time and money. Anyhow, I have pretty much replaced everything except the 6 gear transmission, dog bones, arm mounts, and bulkheads. I a...

I like this a lot!
Are those wheel caps that snap on?
Is there shrink wrap around the ESC capacitors?

Will a stealth transmission fit on this chassis? How can I tell? Old 6 gear transmission right now.

F1 inspired paint, RC10
Frankenstein'd buggy. A modernized vintage RC10 with a losi 22 body and F1 inspired paint. My take on the '91 Jordan 191 F1 livery. All tamiya spray paint, metallic green, fluorescent green, blue, and white, backed with white, F1paintlabs decal sheet. I'm building up the courage to dye a set of yell...

Re: lmwong RC10 classic resurrection
New body day! It's the '91 Jordan 191 F1 livery in buggy form. I also installed the black rear bulkhead and trimmed the electronics. https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2616/3794658268_978a2bc2eb.jpg 1991 Jordan F1 191 by jens.lilienthal , on Flickr https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8860/17133975560_9bc6649...
