Re: When there is a Blizzard outside...
Hm...I have an original Blizzard with the white wheels, I don't recall a 2 speed trans in it. May have to have a look when I get home.

Re: Lazer rebuild 1
Thanks, I'll look up those wheels. I wondered about using a standard washer, but I found a kit on ebay that has the correct shoulder washer and nut, it just arrived yesterday. It has 2 of the washers, so now I'll have a spare. Now I just need to figure out my battery/charger/radio situation. I still...

Re: Lazer rebuild 1
Thanks. I think I've found the parts I need on ebay, they're on the way now. Also, I'm looking for some decent 2.2 wheels. Any suggestions?

Lazer rebuild 1
So...I started a clean/rebuild on the broken Lazer ZX. This turned out to be more of an issue than I thought. I had gotten this "pre-broken" from a buddy, so I wasn't involved in the original build. I didn't notice much during the tear down, but I didn't expect to. However on the rebuild, ...

advice on using old electronics
Ok, so here's my situation. All I have is old electronics - a few receiver/ESC combos, old ESCs, and pretty much everything to use/charge old NiCDs. I don't plan on doing any real racing, other than in my own yard with the grands. This will be for my Clods as well as my buggies and truggies. So, if ...

Re: My 1987 Clodbuster restoration
Pretty much what I figured, just keep checking ebay. I just won a set yesterday, but 3 of them are painted silver. Suits me as I wanted some black ones anyway.

Re: My 1987 Clodbuster restoration
Nice looking truck, where did you get the "blower" from? I recently picked up a mostly stock Clod, I wasn't sure what to do with it, hut I'm feeling like a stock restoration like yours might be the ting. I already have my original modded Clod, so an all stock one would be a nice addition. ...

My "newest" car HPI RS4MT
Forgot to post this when I did all my others. I bought this thinking it was newer and therefore better/faster than my current stuff when I first thought of getting back into RC with my son many years ago. This was before I started learning about brushless and lipo. Still, it's a cool looking vehicle...

Re: My modified ClodBuster
The MSCs are mounted on some scrap plastic I found in a storage area at work. They looked like separators for a storage setup of some kind, but no one knew what they were for. I think I still have a few somewhere. I'd love to find another clod to do a custom chassis on, as I think I'll leave this on...

Re: My Optimas
Yea, that turbo mid special is nice, I was lucky to find one the way I did, and I got it fairly cheap at the time. I remember when the mid stretch first came out, I picked one up, then picked up all the parts to make my original mid a stretch version. Never did the conversion, and I still have all t...
Re: AYK Viper
There was a lot of binding at the pivots, and that's before getting to the marginal shocks.
Re: AYK Viper
Yeah, this was bought by the ex because she liked the look of it. the dogbone is likely in the collection of spare parts. This thing has never been run, nor even properly finished.

Re: The Evolution of RC Batteries - Digital Magazine Article
The question is, what can I buy now to use in my vintage cars, and will I need a new charger?

Re: Mabuchi Motor, A Strange Animal?
That name is very familiar, I thought Mabuchi made many of the stock/oem motors that came with the cheaper kits.
