Re: Replica Houge Trailing Arms
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=18921 There are a couple great Houge threads on these forums especially the one you just mentioned. The other thread I mentioned earlier in this thread by Ruffy was my inspiration to take on this project. I didn't want to detract from those threads b...

Re: Team Novak is closing it's doors.
Oh man, that's a bummer. Such an iconic brand from back in the day. To say the least... I was pretty shocked when I came back to the hobby after all those years that Novak and Tekin pretty much faded into the distance. I asked around the local track and it just seemed the brushless stuff from Novak...

Re: Time to pass on the collection.
Too often it seems I read posts from new members trying to buy back their childhood. I'm glad that you've decided to keep some of your collection. Future PlastiZapCA+ will most likely thank you. I can attest to that first hand. You will be happy you held onto your collection. Very impress...

A female member of my family married a guy named Cox...the punchlines are endless...   Harry?  I had a similar experience early in my career. Imagine being a young guy, in a large meeting, everyone is passing out business cards and introducing themselves, and I look d...

Re: Greetings
Hi all, i'm pretty new to the world of RC cars and fairly recently picked up two Kyosho Ultima Pro buggies which I plan on restoring and modernising. I'll hopefully remember to take lots of pictures of my progress and keep you all updated in a seperate build thread. I'll also no doubt be scouring t...

Thanks guys for the feedback, I went ahead and modified the post, I can see where you are coming from. An "ad" was totally not my intent and was specifically why I started the thread with apologies if it was posted in the wrong forum. I just wanted to contribute something meaningful is all...

Replica Houge Trailing Arms
I have been working on a project with a friend of mine that has taken shape much faster than originally anticipated... I ran quite a few iterations of Houge trailing arm cars back in the late '80s / early '90s and they were and are by far my favorite. In my opinion, nothing looks cooler than these t...

One more thing...
Did you ever find out the history on the aluminum front hub carriers? I've seen them in the harder black plastic and white nylon, but never aluminum.

YAE "Yet Another Edinger"
Was lucky enough to pick up what looks like an early Edinger on Ebay. I'm a little bummed the parts are dyed black, but I am looking forward to tearing this one down and seeing how complete it is. I'll post more pictures of the clean up effort, any thoughts on what type of build I should do? https:/...

Re: - A tribute to MIP -
Pretty speechless on the build, simply awesome work! I have a soft spot for MIP, back in the day at one time or another had pretty much every part Eustace offered back in the '80s. He made such quality parts.
Again, well done on the build, it looks fantastic!

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t30/jonlawes/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpssgvokiup.jpeg I got this with my RC10 and I'm assuming it's for a road going variant or similar? Any ideas please? Re: Rebuilding a B2
Not too much happening on the B2 rebuild right now, pretty much stopped at the spur gear. My original one isn't too bad really, just a little warped, but I figured I'd replace it while I was there. Twice now, I've ordered the correct looking 2 hole mounted spur gear on Ebay and twice I have receive...

Re: Tight turnbuckles
I know a lot of the more modern manuals recommended using the black grease on your turnbuckles, I found that using Chapstick works great. Just coat your turnbuckle and it will thread a lot easier, run it in and out a few times and you will have no issues using a turnbuckle wrench at the track withou...

"In a pinch" or "On a budget" parts repairs...
As I am sitting in the shop tearing down some of my recent parts car purchases I stumbled onto a few parts that made me smile and think back to a time when we were younger, on a budget, and maybe not the most talented of mechanics just yet but had plenty of time and curiosity on our hands to make do...
