Can you point a guy in the direction of this mythical "improved" nut? I just stripped on of mine too trying to crank down on it.
Thanks!

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Hey guys, Not a ton of progress recently (just welcomed our second child!). However, I do have a few questions as I tinker for a few minuted here and there... 1) EDIT - I think I worked this one out myself. Original question had to do with the the -2 CR style rear skid plate pairing with the standar...

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

The XXT had a version that came with bushings, which I believe what your XXT started out as. Lack of Hydra-Drive, silver shocks, bushings, pink springs and so on. A box stock XXT-CR Graphite would have had the hard anodized shocks, pink rear springs, red fronts, dual disk slipper, MIP CVDs and some...

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Depending on how much the bushing car was ran, grooves could have developed in the axle(s). If that has happened, you will have to replace the front and rear axles. They will have grooves that installing a bearing will not fix. OK, cool. I will examine my axles a bit closer but I think they looked ...

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Thanks guys!

Another question...during disassembly and cleaning, I'm noticing that the rear carriers contain bushings, and the front has bushings in the wheels because the stub axles are fixed. Is there a bearing upgrade for these (both front and back)?

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Got some goodies from OldRC.com. Just waiting on my clear and black goo to arrive, and then I can rebuild the diff. While we wait, Ill work on the shocks. Looks like the silver and black aluminum shock bodies are the same dimensionally, any difference in which RCs they were offered on? I have both, ...

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Anyone clue me in to what this is, how it's used? I think it's some sort of adapter from Kimbrough Racing.

Re: New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Wow, thanks for the awesome replies, guys! Really appreciate it. I don't plan on going brushless with this RC for a while. So everything for now will remain as close to stock as possible. My main problem at the moment, as I see it, is that I have a bunch of parts without knowing what came from what ...

New Member - Trying to rebuild an XX-T

Hi guys, I got my hands on a really clean XX-T with some graphite bits on it. Only part was a broken diff gear. Since these gears are no longer available to buy...only option was to find NOS. So, naturally, I bought a few parts lots - the stuff in the pix, plus some additional motors, a few okay bod...
