Thats what I am leaning towards. Anyone have any info or pics of the early checkpoint canned fantom motors?

Re: ReRe Worlds....what to do...
Geesh $460 for a re-re??? My local hobbytown had them on the shelves forever for $130, my friend and I picked up the last of the ones they had just as cheap kits to build, heck I still have an unbuilt one I saved for a rainy day. I guess I was under the impression that nobody really wanted them as c...

Re: ReRe Worlds....what to do...
Dumb question, why shelve a re-re? I was thinking they were worth less than an original?

Re: 10L graphite...what year?
Cool thanks guys!
We have this area which is like perfectly flat asphalt that might be kind of fun. I could always go out with some sugar water before hand

Re: Early 80's 1/12th motor
I always heard Jim sold Fantom the cans and machined bits, but who knows. In either event I hope that motor looks at home in the lightning. Still need an ESC for it.....

10L graphite...what year?
I got a box of cars in an auction today, and this one was tossed in. Im assuming a 10L graphite? Never got into the pan cars like this. Is this like a mid 90's chassis? Thought it might be fun for the kids to bash around on the taxi ways. Unless it is something that has more collector value than fun...

Re: Early 80's 1/12th motor
I really don’t like parting with my motors but if you get stuck I do have a couple leisure 05 motors new in pack and I would be willing to get rid of one Same motor as in pic I appreciate the offer but I would hate to run "NIB" stuff, save them for shelfers :). I just picked up a lot of m...

Re: Early 80's 1/12th motor
Nooooo no butchering here, although I do run all of my cars I have a no butchering policy haha. I might still have some closed bell iggy motors in my parts box that I can build into a replica of a "modified" motor from the period. Might have to borrow Dan's work and build a servo based ESC...

Re: Early 80's 1/12th motor
Fantastic thank you! So, dumb question. I have seen JoMac and Jerobee armatures for sale listed as "imported". Does this mean there were some motors that were intended to be taken apart? Or were they all crimped cans? I have reverse engineered a couple of the associated 05 motors for a fr...

Re: Early 80's 1/12th motor
Pretty much any Igarashi based motor would be correct. The Jomac motors were labeled Jerobee. Search Igarashi for ideas. Reedy, Trinity, Leisure, MRP all did stock and modified versions as well. Old thread with a few Lightnings, some pictures have suffered from Photobuckeitis... https://www.rc10tal...

Early 80's 1/12th motor
Hey Guys, So, I picked up the JoMac Lightning from Dave here on the board, and am putting together the electronics for it. What would be an appropriate time period motor? I see old can motors from Parma and BoLINK but am unsure of their time period? This is my first " non-associated" 1/12t...
