Re: Where Do You Charge Your Lipos ?
$98 total, US dollars I assume, from the Bat safe website shipped to me in Calgary. HK is close, $42 shipping. If I add a few more items to the cart with HK, makes it a few dollars more. SO this is worth buying for sure? I should anyway... Ouch! Shipping is steep relative to actual cost of products...

Re: Where Do You Charge Your Lipos ?
I was about to post that. Well worth it now. Correct? They want $40 plus to ship it though. Still worth it. My guess is the HK listing is for much of the world rather than N. America. Try buying direct at the website. You can still do that @ $49 US. I believe I got free shipping. It's a little less...

Re: Where Do You Charge Your Lipos ?
Incidentally...and probably a good step forward for bat-safe, Hobbyking is now a re-seller:

Re: Where Do You Charge Your Lipos ?
I agree Todd, but I would rather lose a bunch of batts instead of a house. I understand the idea of it but Like I said earlier in this thread. I store mine inside on a concrete floor next to a concrete wall...so no house loss for me Dave but would definitely have some smoke damage in my unfinished ...

Slightly bigger than a lunch box...Beatnik wrote:Better to lose batteries than the house or you or your families life, it's a precautionary action. I'm going to grab one soon, I just wish it didn't look like a Batman lunch box. lol

Re: Where Do You Charge Your Lipos ?
The only problem I see about storing all your lipos together is if you lose one you lose them all... Todd That's a very good point. Quite honestly, I am so new that I am still figuring everything out. My current thought is, the bat-safe is mostly for the risks generated during charging so while I c...

Re: My RC10 World's Re-Re Pre-Build Q's
I mount up and bring a bunch of tires to the track to test, run a battery or two on a used set of wheels to get in the groove, and get a baseline of your times. Then start experimenting with tires. The ones that don't work so well just use for practice or try later in the day, and when worn out cut...

Re: A bit of history on everything AE Leading up to the B64
Saw the video last night and thought it was extremely well done. For someone that was in the hobby in the 80s as a kid and then just got back, I missed all of the history between then. Always love to see the evolution of how we lived (clothing style and look) as much as the car! :D Also became clear...

Re: My RC10 World's Re-Re Pre-Build Q's
Modern tire glue is difficult to break loose, so its not likely anyone is unmounting at the track. Methods involve boiling them off, baking them in an oven, or acetone treatment over several days. You need to have a set of wheels for each set of tires. If you have glue that sets quickly, you can mo...

Re: My RC10 World's Re-Re Pre-Build Q's
It looks like you've done your research and made great tire choices. For practice on the ball field, Pro-Line M3 Holeshot tires are a bit less costly than the other tire choices. The M3 compound is a soft compound, but not as soft as M4. So you should get a little more wear out of your tires. http:...

Re: My RC10 World's Re-Re Pre-Build Q's
So..haven't done much and will probably not get to building until the new year. I have been reading, reading, reading though. I am about to place a tower hobbies order (have to use my ecash!). Besides some odds and ends, I'll pick up some tires for the RC10. I've researched the 2 tracks nearby and h...

Re: Where Do You Charge Your Lipos ?
I recon it will be able to fit up to 6 or more 2S lipos... so you would store your lipos in this or just charge them? Todd I am planning to do both. I will also use it when transporting lipos to track or elsewhere. Once at track, I will probably just charge in lipo sacks since table top space is pr...

Re: Where Do You Charge Your Lipos ?
Is the included paperwork online so I can read it? If not, any chance of a scan? What are all the parts and pieces that it came with? It looks like I am going to buying one or two as well. It came with a modest cheat sheet but a deeper instruction PDF is online here: http://www.bat-safe.com/web/dow...

Re: Where Do You Charge Your Lipos ?
All, I received my bat-safe today. I believe I got the first and same batch of shipments as the early supporters from Kickstarter. I have to say, it was packaged very well. Box was supported at all corners. The item itself seems very well built and substantial. It is not light and doesn't look cheap...

Does anyone have an opinion on Speed Passion motors?
