Re: YR-4 custom buggy conversion
It should be fun to model up a new design and get it 3d printed. Something allowing for 12 mm hex type wheels and standard length cvd. But it could easily grow more expensive than a set of 91 arms. That would be awesome. I definitely think the cost could be offset by the potential market. I see a l...

Re: YR-4 custom buggy conversion
Love it despite the mechanical flaws as pointed above! Shelf engineering rocks :) Now - how does she run, mister? :) As usual, kudos to those who build these things! Paul Thanks Paul. Much appreciated. As with most cars like this it's still a work in progress. I actually was just working on a ball ...

Re: YR-4 custom buggy conversion
Mmmm, I don't think I'm gonna hunt for those. The geometry looks wrong for the front: Drive axles are swept, the cut-out for the C-carriers seems too shallow, shock mounting points don't seem to line up right for the shock tower... Same issues I had with the df03 front arms. Df03 rear arms worked w...

Re: YR-4 custom buggy conversion
Check out my gallery. I made a kind of hot dog about 9 years ago after trying to sell a nib yr4. It got outfitted with a baldre body. I also bought some spares: Second hand runners. And ran in the tc class with the same chassis you have. The links to the build treads are in the gallery too. Please ...

Looks good man. I've done a conversion of my own. Earlier Yr-4 but similar concept. Check out the thread. Could be inspirational.

Yr-4 / Yz10 slipper retrofit. Some help please?
I have an early Yr-4 that I have done a custom conversion on basically turning it into a Yz10 without the Yz10 if that makes sense. It has the motor mount / center bulkhead from a Yr-4 and currently has a spur and rear drive pulley combo from I believe an 870c with a one way bearing set up. This is ...

Re: Will yokomo rere some of their cars like 834b??
I saw another thread where they I guess thought about it a few years back. The guy has a magazine article posted in Japanese where it looked like that was going to be the case but as we all know that never happened. Too bad but then again maybe not. Two sides to that coin. There's the collector mark...

Re: tools fer cheatin!
Two armatures? Dude, sorry, sounds impossible. Were there some gears inside the can? Maybe I'm confused. Mark Pretty sure he meant two winds. As in a 26 turn double. Don't be a douche. Not everyone's first language is English here. The meaning was kinda obvious. Hey, good for you......I like your &...

Re: What is this?
I just pulled this exact car out of an old box. I had forgotten all about it! I'm looking for parts. Mainly the front of the motor pod (where the shock mounts) and the top deck. If you find where to buy parts could you please pass it on? Send me a message. Thanks!

Re: tools fer cheatin!
Just to make an on topic comment. Where I raced Buggy and dirt oval outside DC back in the day cheating was dealt with quite easily. Stock classes, if you want your win recognised or you want that trophy your motor was coming apart for inspection. This was just done on the top 3 spots but it kept th...

Re: tools fer cheatin!
buddy of mind re-wound a motor to have 2 armatures with 26 turns of wire. Motor is long sold. Two armatures? Dude, sorry, sounds impossible. Were there some gears inside the can? Maybe I'm confused. Mark Pretty sure he meant two winds. As in a 26 turn double. Don't be a douche. Not everyone's first...

Re: Allen B's hobby corner.
I do apologize for posting mostly new stuff. It's all a long story but the simple version is this. I was a victim of fraud with regards to a storage unit that held 90% of my prized cars. They were auctioned off behind my back and by the time I found out what happened it was too late to save them. I ...

Re: my first Yok
I got the car second hand with the part already mounted. I think Kose or team suzuki could be the manufacturer. But liquid rc had a gpm one on their site for a long time. No picture though, so I never took the plunge. Thanks Mr. ED. I've been trying to remember for years where I got it from. I'll d...
