Re: A bit of history on everything AE Leading up to the B64
Saw the video last night and thought it was extremely well done. For someone that was in the hobby in the 80s as a kid and then just got back, I missed all of the history between then. Always love to see the evolution of how we lived (clothing style and look) as much as the car! :D Also became clea...

Did you put new wires on the esc? Is it tricky? I have a few old ones with very short wires that would need new wires...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Can someone id the front arms on the AYK radiant in the video (right at the beginning)? I'd like to have a similar setup on mine but I have no idea what car these are from.

These are cool. I used to have one too but I converted it back to the buggy long time ago. I think I still have a couple of new front wheels for these trucks.

Re: AYK Gator/Sidewinder gearbox question
I bought a Boxer (same as Bobcat and Buffalo) new back in the 80s. The diff is the same than in the Gator (or Sidewinder) and the gears were metal. I always had probles with it. Nilon gears worked better IMO. Having said that AYK also made ball diffs but those are rare...

Hobby shop for vintage parts in Tokyo?
Hello I will be in Japan in August and will spend a week in Tokyo. I'm wondering if a member here knows the area and could suggest a good store for me to visit... I'd also be happy to find one where I could look for vintage stuff, especially AYK, Kyosho and Tamiya SRB... Thanks for any info... Cheers

Need help with a measurment on the AYK bobcat
Hello Can someone that has a proper tool for it measure the angle of the bend in the front plate of the bobcat/buffalo/boxer? I have a project for a custom chassis but I can't measure that angle accurately and my parts are all badly bent so I get different angles depending on which side I measure. T...

Interesting. Is this a vintage buggy or a current car based on the ultima?

Re: Ayk 566b super trail resto
I'm also trying to fix a 566b. In my case I'd like to install new more modern shocks. The ones I have don't work very well. I bought a set of RC18T dampers. The length is just fine but the shock shaft is quite small. Not too sure It will survive (planning on driving the car at one point). By the way...

I have the same question but for cast metal. I have a gear case with a stripped screw hole. There should be some cement that I could use to fix that I guess?

Yeah.. All things being equal, r/c parts are much more expansive than 1:1 parts...
