JRX-PRO and JRX-PRO SE Shock tower query
Hi all, Sorry if this has been covered before but im rebuilding a JRX Pro and am not that familiar with them. I need to replace the shock towers but can only find the parts listings for the JRX-ProSE. Are these the same? Obviously the JRX-Pro had the long shocks front and rear, but if i order the JR...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Looks like a kyosho optima rear end, and a mid front gearbox, belt conversion? Not sure about the arms, out drives look like early YZ-10? But steering uprights and steering knuckles are Kyosho optima /mid era.
Anyone else?

Re: Barn find Rocky, belt drive conversion
When Jeff did an awesome job cutting the chassis and top plate for this project i asked him to cut me a rectangular section of G10, I was messing wit the idea of getting rid of the gearbox alloy top plate, as its not required as heatsink for the mechanical speed control resistors any more. Trimmed a...

Re: Barn find Rocky, belt drive conversion
Fitted up the new pulleys today, used the 5mm/6mm precision tube, quite tricky without a lathe. Used a tube cutter initially but this distorted the tube no matter how gently i cut, ended up having to use a cut off disk in the Dremmel and lots of patience. Front pulley had no shaft left to circlip to...

MY recovered RC10 Pics 2006
Had a back up HDD drive recovered last week and stumbled across my old buggies from February 2006, I was renting while I was building a house and they both got stolen from my Garage. They never took the transmitters, cells etc, obviously just some opportunist kids walking past. Often wonder where th...

Nice, Like the XLS body Idea, I've been trial fitting an Optima Pro body and tray to fit onto my Laser zx6.6, Same reason, also don't really warm to the "cab forward shells" Bluegroove in Canada have loads of options.

Re: Mark 1 Ultima ( turbo?)
Finally got the platinum shock rod ends I have been waiting for (shock end" part "M), weird male thread units. and some washers and o rings to rebuild them, as you can see the wear on the rod ends meant they popped off the ball ends too easily. Hopefully i can sort this now, then paint and...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Low profile servos, found these on Ali Express, set up for Touring Cars, but i do like the low profile, was finding it hard to justify the money for the latest futabas etc, rather buy more cars. These are brushed, metal gear, low profile, not bad spec's, and under $20 New Zealand, or approximately $...

Re: Barn find Rocky, belt drive conversion
Battery Cradle mk2, tricky to fit the "super shorty" LiPo above the chassis so that it clears the belt underneath it, stuff all clearance, found this touring car cradle which I can cut and shut for the correct width and it elevates the cell tight up under the top plate, about 7.5mm clearan...

Re: Barn find Rocky, belt drive conversion
Finally had some deliveries today, stuff is taking so long to arrive, the hard to find 32/22 idler came in from Spain, this will allow me to run a 17T pinion, and the Kyosho gas car pulleys. Like the look of them, and same brand is nice too. There is a shaft discrepancy as the Rocky shaft is 5mm, th...

Alloy threaded shocks, 4 sets, Grabbed these off Hobby King, they did a knock off buggy bz444 a while back and the shocks were smooth and leak free, very nice action. Couldn't resist grabbing a few last sets on closeout for future projects, When i grabbed them they were $11 NZ dollars (about $6.50 U...

Used Airtronic's caliber 3P on 27Mhz, this was the legal frequency in New Zealand back in the day, the USA 72Mhz was used for CB Radios, came with NIcad pack, AM and FM modules, factory manual, box, a couple of receivers, and a lot of dust.
