Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I had to look up what an AYK Radiant Pro was and apparently from the pics I saw, I have a whole pile of right side chassis plates. What an odd thing to find. I'll have to look back through all the parts I got with this collection to see if any of the other parts I have match this car.

Traxxas Hawk Find
Just picked up this old Traxxas Hawk. The guy who sold it to me said he bought it around 1990 and played with it for a few days, got it covered with mud inside and out, and never got around to cleaning it. When I got it, it still had the original mud on it. It was a rtr version and the body was stil...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Anyone have any idea what these are? I got these in a collection of cars and parts that I picked up recently and cannot figure out what they go to. They appear to be a vertical chassis plate with an integrated motor mount, but I have no idea to what. Most are the same size with a couple being a litt...

That RC10 Beetle is really cool. I've always been a sucker for anything with a VW body. That one looks really nice.

Re: Vintage Buggy Tires
I had a suspicion they might be Yokomo since they were made in Japan. The fronts say T.Q.-70. I agree, I love the look. the fronts are so wide they almost look like front 4wd tires. I was very happy to find a front and rear set in good shape.

Re: Vintage Buggy Tires
Ok, I just saw a pic of the box art for a graphite version and it looks like these tires. But the same pic shows pin spikes on the front so I don't know where the fronts came from. Sorry I don't have pics of the fronts. Theyre soaking in acetone right now to remove them from the rims they're on. The...

Vintage Buggy Tires
I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify these buggy tires. I also have the matching fronts with same tread. They say "ae T.Q.-20 made in Japan 6820". I've tried searching all over the forum and elsewhere on the internet and all I came up with was "Vintage associated tires". ...

Heavy Metal Restoration
I just finished restoring my Heavy Metal. Original motors and speed controls. New body from TBG and decal kit from MCI. These are an absolute blast to drive! I'm using an old 2 stick radio and never tire of chasing my pomeranians around the house with it. I'm very happy with the results and its perf...

Re: Hot Trick Transmission Bracket Fitment Help
I get it. I'm always trying to find vintage aftermarket hop ups for my cars. I had just never heard of this one. I guess I'll shelf the bracket in my parts collection until I come across one of those early mip's. You guys are always a wealth of info and I really appreciate it. I decided to use the M...

Re: Hot Trick Transmission Bracket Fitment Help
Is there an advantage in finding and using the tan case over any of the other transmissions? I guess what I'm asking is why anyone would go to all that trouble when we have so many great transmission choices readily available for the rc10 platform already.

Hot Trick Transmission Bracket Fitment Help
So I just bought an old rc collection and got a big box of NIP vintage parts with it. I noticed when I bought it that there was a whole bunch of Hot Trick parts in it. I've been dying to find a set of front arms for one of my rc10's to match the rears I picked up over a year ago. After feverishly di...

Re: Need help with graphite chassis identification
Never heard of it. Thanks for the info. It will help me narrow down the possibles. So the tan layers are some kind of foam? What are the outside black layers? Gaphite, fiberglass, or what?

Need help with graphite chassis identification
Picked up this RC10 in a trade. Andy's front arms, litesink motor mount, aluminum bellcranks, etc. Can't identify this chassis though. It's laminated with black on each side with a tan colored material in the middle. I have 3 other gold pans but no graphite chassis versions so figured this would loo...
