Re: Printed gears question

WHAT? 9 quid??

Do they think we're made of money?? :x

I'm kidding, of course. Not a bad price for a low-volume custom machined part.

I'm very happy, Chuck, that you've found what exactly what you've been looking for. :D

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

When the 2013 Classic, the 2014 World's car and all parts for these cars were discontinued, we complained: "Why doesn't AE do another re-release?" AE responded and gave us the RC10 CC and we complained -- again: "Why doesn't AE make us an RC10 that we can actually run?" And AE re...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

I watched that happen too. Wondering why Amain ended their auction, if they still have more than 10 available. Because the others were sold through their store? Could be; anything's possible. But as soon as I saw them posted on ebay with 2 sold and more than 10 remaining, I jumped over to Amain's w...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

Amain says they have more than 10, on ebay right now, for $379 and free shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/404953414982 For those who didn't get one, or want another. This kills the scalper. https://www.ebay.com/itm/196373667050 I saw that, 3 sold then suddenly they are gone. Looks like the s...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

At least your B3 has a normal rear wing. The previous owner of my B2 must have felt like you can never have too big of a wing. I need to trim it down a bit, but that hasn't been a priority. . 1000010766.jpg . I worn path in the back yard counts as a track in my book. 👍 Yeah, your wing is big ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Today, for the first time in years, I pulled the B3 off the shelf, blew the dust off, fitted some electronics (Reedy 3300kV, Reedy SC600BL, XP servo, Futaba clone Rx), and drove it around the track for a few laps. What a car! That's a good looking B3! Around the track? Like your own personal at hom...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue

Honestly, I don't recall sanding the primer. Maybe if I found sand scratches projecting through the primer or some rough spots, I might have used 1000 grit or finer but only on those spots. Since I typically use lacquer based paints (i.e. Tamiya TS or Duplicolor) which, I think, melt into the primer...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Picked up this FJ40 from FMS. It says "1/10 scale" but it's actually closer to 1/6. Anyway, it's nicely detailed.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Those two Kyosho's truly are magnificent. Very nice indeed! Today, for the first time in years, I pulled the B3 off the shelf, blew the dust off, fitted some electronics (Reedy 3300kV, Reedy SC600BL, XP servo, Futaba clone Rx), and drove it around the track for a few laps. Re: The dog thread

Well, it's been a few months since our precious Louie left us, so time for a new four-legged bundle of bark. This is Rudy , a 2 1/2 year old Kelpie. 20240316_165039.jpg We adopted him from a home where he was pretty much locked outside all day, and locked in the laundry all night, with NOTHING in b...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue

Looking good. You're brave to tackle the nose-body gap. I chickened out on mine. Yours looks really smooth, excellent prep work! Is that with the primer on it? Going to prep the body today by roughing the exterior to get it ready for primer. The weather has not been good for painting anything...

Re: kyosho ZX5 is back- sort of

I’m more worried about that turd of a body🤮 Like the fact h pattern tires are back on the production list though👍🏼 they are trying for a retro look, and while its not my favorite at least it isnt that cab forward nonsense. The OG zx5 body was pretty bad ass imo Yeah, the kit body looks okay. But WO...

Re: “aftermarket” RC10 gold chassis pan

Ships out of Cali ?? Description reads like far east…. If these are legit, guaranteed they are coming from somewhere in Asia, the Cali address is just likely a shipping point domestically. I agree. Unfortunately, everything comes from Asia these days. Nothing is made in America in 2024. :(

Re: “aftermarket” RC10 gold chassis pan

I find nothing wrong with offering replacement parts. If they are made using tooling that AE owns and without their permission, then obviously that's a problem. With a bit of luck they are from the "lost" molds from the first re-re  Comparing the 2013 re-re to the current RC10CC chas...
