Re: Why are the old RC10T 3 piece wheels so rare?
I have my new one piece wheels that fit great but have an interesting issue. My 11/32nds socket won't tighten the rear wheel nuts (asc6296) quite tight enough on account of the angle of the "cone" shape of the wheel and the small width of the nut. The old 3 piece rear wheels have more cle...

Welcome. I'm new here too. This site has been great to catch up on what's new. So much to catch up after pulling my RC10T out of storage.

Re: Help me make my RC10T great again
Cool truck. That looks just like mine that I pulled out of storage about 5 years ago. I ended up selling the M5 ESC on ebay and did pretty well. I picked up a Castle brushless system, which is total overkill. I've since upgraded to 2.4Ghz and recently I added a new servo. The output from the Castle...

Re: Why are the old RC10T 3 piece wheels so rare?
I've given up on the three piece wheels since they don't fit a modern tire. They're also super heavy compared to the solid wheels. They still make the 1/4" solid wheels and I found some for $7.99 a set and glued on modern turf tires. The vintage tires didn't work at all on the turf.

Very cool. I just bought a replica off ebay from the following seller. Perhaps he has stickers for you. I'm guessing he's on here given how much vintage RC10 stuff he sells.

Nice set up! Thanks for the review. I've been looking for a stock set-up so I can race at the local track.

Re: Looking for a (sane) brushless setup recommendation
I run a Castle 5700, which I geared for top speed when I was running on the street. It's crazy fast, and now that I'm racing on turf I've turned it way down to about 60%. I agree that the program-ability of the Castle is pretty cool. My set-up was about $125 with the programming card.

Digging this truck build. I've started building my own Team Moo truck after digging out my RC10T I got 25 years ago as a kid.

Very cool! For those of use without the patience and talent, I found a guy on eBay that does replica bodies that are very nice.
