Re: The year was 1992 in Utah
The "new" Futaba 3PV is a really nice package (rx/tx) at around $130.00. It's loaded with features and can be linked to, I think, 10 cars. Mine is programed for 3 right now. That feature alone is what sold me on the purchase. Low profile servo's can put a bite on your hobby budget if you a...

I've never tried Createx brand but did give Parma Faskolor a try... didn't care for it much. I still have a good size box of it stashed away. It is a bit old but probably still good.

Starting to get the steering servo mounting figured out. First thing, strip the blue anodizing off the parts. I went ahead and did the AE battery thumb screws will at it.

I also dig the RC10 VW. It has inspired me on my current (Factory Works/A&L C2) build. I'd really like to see how that body is mounted!

Re: RC10 Worlds re-re collection of files for 3d printing
I found the tires/rims on Amazon, plus another set that looks cool too. I'm guessing that I just click on the "order this printed" to get the hex adapters in your link? You might want to try this http://www.ebay.com/itm/112154723418?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX...

If you want to buy from a US seller on ebay, these guys are top notch. I buy a lot of hardware from them.

Thanks for the pic. What hex's are you using? I've been around (online) at that type of tire/wheel. I wish I had a hobby shop close so I could go in and "touch" some crawler type stuff to use.

Re: Factory Works/A&L C2 build...
I got my "starting" spur and pinion today, bolted up the Reedy 17.5 brushless motor and it looks like I'll need to open up the top screw slot by 1mm or so :? Just to be sure I tried it with an old brushed MABUCHI RS-540SH motor and everything lines up perfectly. I'm going to think on this ...

Re: Trinity Purple
Yes sir, mighty fine stuff! There's quite a few 4-40 x 1/2" flat heads and 8-32 x 1/2" flat heads. I must have used up the socket head ones.
Maybe I could talk myself into trading them for something one day.

Re: Factory Works/A&L C2 build...
Rainy day so I decided to make a couple of parts on my old Taig Micro Lathe II. My magnetic base/dial indicator was acting funny so my spacing ended up a tad off. At least I got both parts matching! Titanium spacers (replacing the nylon ones) for the LW transmission brace to bulkhead. There's only 0...

Yes, Dyemore Graphite. I read GoMachV's posts about the formula changing in the old style dye so didn't even mess around. I used 3oz dye to 2qt water ratio.
