Re: JRX Pro Rebuild

Losi upgraded the diff gear with a bearing. If you built them and the diff gear fit snugly on the diff half before, then yes it would have been just one bearing and you built them right. Adding the special diff bearing requires the new diff gear and then two bearings. Just to confirm -- does the mo...

Re: JRX Pro Rebuild

i have two thin bearings, but it sounds like modification needs to be done regardless. To be clear, we're talking about the inside circular edge where the bearing sits, right? And can this be done with a dremel and the right fitting?

Re: JRX Pro Rebuild

Got it. Thanks. Does anyone have experience making the modification to the female diff half in order to use the ball bearing diff gear? The instructions originally provided by Losi are not the clearest. I'm not sure which part of the diff half needs to be cut. Is this even worth doing in the first p...

Are you sure about that? The manual has different part numbers and refers the front springs as short.

Re: 10T Differential

Rebuilt the diff with the kit and it's purring now. Can't wait to get out on the track.

Separate question -- I'm trying to get the ride height in the front dialed in, but I think the springs are too short for the shocks. Does anyone the correct length of the springs on the front the truck?

Re: JRX Pro Rebuild

Much obliged. Out of the curiosity, would the white super sliders also be an option?

Re: JRX Pro Rebuild

Should have done a proper search first. I see MIP (MB-100) made bones that fit the H arms. Is this the only option?

Re: JRX Pro Rebuild

Took old girl out to the track for the first time. Did pretty well until I broke a male universal shaft. I'm pretty sure this just convinced me that the car belongs sitting on the shelf. Out of curiosity -- is there any way to convert the drive shafts to something stronger (dogbone, CVD, etc) withou...

Re: JRX Pro Rebuild

Another update -- I added the limiters and green springs. Ride height is now normal and the binding in the steering is gone. Now, I've got decided whether to turn this into a runner or pretty it up and put it on the shelf.

Re: 10T Differential

Thanks, everyone. I rebuilt the diff again and flipped both the rings and washers. The random roughness is gone, but it still doesn't feel all that smooth to me. I've ordered the rebuild kit and will see if that does it.

Re: 10T Differential

Thanks. I used TLR white grease actually. I'll get some associated black grease and give it another shot. Separate question -- the manual does not say to lube between the rings and out drives, but other diffs I have typically do so I went ahead and added some. This couldn't be causing problems, coul...

10T Differential

Hey gang -- I recently picked up a 10T on ebay and have been rebuilding it. I took apart, cleaned and rebuilt the diff last night, but I'm unable to get it to rotate smoothly once its properly adjusted. The rings and thrust washers had some light scoring, but looked pretty good after sanding. The ro...
