Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

I found pink Yokomo 2.2” wheels from ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/392041643353

I’d like to use those at rear. Are there any adapters available?

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

OK, I'll send the a mail. That will be the only part I need anymore and I think I can use the original for now. I made rear bumper out of kydex and it came out pretty good. My motor plates are all more or less bent but for a runner they will do. I picked out the less bent one and made the bumper fit...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

Thanks! I hope it drives well too. I wasn't so happy with world's car or B2, but that was on indoor concrete track and I didn't have so much track time yet. NIX10M was great on concrete but on EOS carpet I couldn't get it working as I wanted. What is going on with TBG? Are they closed for good? EBay...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

I didn't like the blue anodized parts on B5 big bores so I deanodized them. They look more old school to me now. I'm not sure if I use them on this car or NIX10M but it's always good to have choices.

Re: Graphite chassis protector

Those will not work well. I tried different brands but they are too soft and will not last very long. I haven't seen AE protector but at least Mattox ones are quite hard and stick well. 18mil was not too thick at all and even that wore through after let's say 20 runs on indoor track. I suppose outdo...

Re: Graphite chassis protector

I had Mattox 18mil skin on my NIX10M car and it was great. I need to get protector for my Graphite a well and would also like to know how does the AE skin fit as I can get those locally. Mattox would be my first choice but they went up on shipping by 100% so that's really not an option anymore. They...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

I like clear cover more, is there anything reasonably priced available which fits with B4 slipper?

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

Yes, I like the wing painted and unpainted. I just need to get dedals for both. For gear covers those are the only ones I have and it's not very good fit with B4 slipper. Did the rere world's car come with black cover or a clear one? I think I can use this on turf but for dirt tracks I don't know it...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

I did paint the wing after all, at the same time I painted the wing for my other Graphite car. I still have one clear wing which I will most probably end up using. I definitely need to order some decals as I have absolutely none for the wings. I have tried to contact Ultrahive again but no reply thi...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

Thanks for all your comments! I have to say I'm quite happy how this turned out. I modified the wing mounts by cutting them shorter and threaded it with M3 thread. It's better now. This car is now done for now, I only need to charge my batteries and go out to test it. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

I got the wing mounts finally. I think they are bit too big and heavy. What other alternatives there are? These are brass axle shaft couplers I found on ebay. If I had a lathe I would try to make them smaller but I don't so they will do for now. I'm also not sure about painting the wing or not as I ...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

Carbon thumb! I cut the body and I like how it fits. It's in pretty rough shape but as I'm going to drive this it will do for now. I hope those wing mounts will arrive soon as there is no other way to mount the wing now when the bulkhead as been cut. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/832/42274799891_c3...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

I have to admit I didn't prep the NIX parts at all. I got them from Niki himself so I don't even know where they are made. But they are good. Joksa brought me the rear tower today and it looks really good. I may have to drill another pair of shock mounts higher as now the chassis is not hitting grou...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

I used NIX10M chassis as a template as it already had servo mounting holes in that position. I just bolted them together and drilled though. At the same time I drilled the holes for b44.2 battery trays. I also found that those NIX steering parts are very durable, I have broken almost all steering pa...

Re: My RC10 Graphite runner

I made a rear tower out of abs plastic to see if it works. Looks like it actually is OK and now I need to find someone to cut me one out of carbon or black glassfibre. Joksa perhaps? I may have to limit the droop a little but not much. When rear suspension bottoming out, should the chassis hit the g...
