Re: RC10 bodies on the NIX10M

Old topic but as there are no pictures of Protech’s on NIX10M I decided to share mine.

Re: 25 YEARS OF THE RC10 (See page 1)

That car comes with #6036 box which is correct for Team car Graphite if I'm right. But if it really never came with white arms and should have black parts like early World's car, then I need to swap them.

Re: 25 YEARS OF THE RC10 (See page 1)

Does anyone know if the late Graphite Team Car only come with black arms and World's Car rear bulkhead, the one with no ears? I found one but it has white arms and rear bulkhead has long ears. It should be a pre-Worlds long ear bulkhead with reinforced "Worlds" type white rear arms with t...

Re: My RC10 World's car

I went for a drive today with the car and I still can’t drive. But the car is starting to feel good so I think I will learn some day. 13.5 motor seems OK, maybe a bit on the slow side but I will start playing with gearing and timing when I get more confident at driving. I broke another servo though....

Re: My RC10 World's car

OK, here's my first attempt on painting with rattle can. It's OK from 10ft but in reality quite bad. I have to invest on airbrush as I will paint more for sure. Everything was OK up to this point. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4761/40558178061_5b6788b8d8_b.jpg RC10 World's Car by Tomi Sepp...

Re: My RC10 World's car

I finally got all the parts for this so now it's time to make it a driver. On the diff I have new balls and it's a lot smoother than before. I will use original slipper for now as the track is slippery and motor is only 13.5T. Or is B4 slipper mandatory? https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4675/404001400...

Re: My RC10B2 driver

I changed the front axles to wide #7222 ones and went for a drive. With 27 brushed motor it was really slow but after so long break it was still fast enough. Hard to say how the car handled as my driving skills were totally lost. But as it now looks like I will end up breaking parts I think it's bet...

Re: My RC10B2 driver

I measured the widths and at rear it’s almost 250mm, maybe 248mm. At front it’s much narrower, about 235mm. I think I need wide front axles but don’t have any extra ones. And looks like I need to get the full rc10 front wheel conversion kit to get them as noone seems to have just the axles.

Re: My RC10B2 driver

OK, thanks for info! I'm not sure I know what boost means but I suppose it is timing. My ESC is or will be Hobbywing Quickrun 120A so I don't know if it has programmable timing. I suppose not. But I will start with gear ratio between 6,5 and 9,6 and see how it goes. I also have to go through my stas...

My RC10B2 driver

I went to local track yesterday to get some parts and really got bitten by the driving bug. And none of my RC10's are still driveable and all are waiting for parts so I decided to build my RC10B2. I will retire it as soon as I get something else ready. But anyway, the car is in pretty good original ...

Re: Slicks $50 RC10B2

You can get Nix arms from Shapeways for B2. That's what I'm going to use if I ever get to run my car.

Re: My RC10 World's car

Yes, I don't feel like paying 50 or even more for a cardboard box so I can live without it. But then again if I had the box I probably would not sell it for 50 either. I have now ordered new balls for the diff and while waiting for them to arrive I assembled the car with the original chassis. Using ...

This site is so full of information, thanks! Are the gold shocks available in .71 or are they only in grey?

Re: My RC10 Graphite

Thanks! I'm still amazed by the body, it's just so cool. Front end seems to be quite low even without any weight. I measured the shocks and Graphite has 2.55" and World's car has 2.75" from link to link. There are no limiters inside so do I have too short front shocks? They are the same le...
