Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
Some plusses and minuses. Zerda deck a bit butchered but you have parts which didn't survive on my two zerdas. Greater sense of achievement when you get it running. Will you be aiming for original electrics or modern ESC etc

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
I or Dadio will post pics of the rear of zerda showing roll cage rear bumper going around shocks. It won't interfere with your stripping down, scanning etc. Roll cage elements would help understand it maybe. It's the main missing part of your zerda? On your zerda the rear shock support plate is inst...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
On both my zerdas the shock anchor is toward the front but the shock is anchored to a point behind the hub carrier. I also think I have an old arm with circular anchor point which may have been an earlier weaker design. I don't know what changes to geometry would result from reversing the arm and us...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
Not new but two used ones very similar smooth finish. At least 2 layers of paint removed. There's a nice pic Google images of one with "HIROBO" engraved on it

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
I don't doubt you have the plate/rear damper stay fixing point correct. I envy you CAD experts. I see from manuals the stay or plate differs between zerda and 43b ie. Part nos. begin. CT and ZR The ZR is black and the zerda manual lists both parts. I reckon any difference is negligible. I thought th...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
I don't think they put adjustable castor on zerda because it has castor angle on the front of the chassis plate. I guess no harm in having adjustable castor on a zerda but I haven't compared any effect on dogbone length and Zerda/44b front suspension arms are different lengths anyway. Is adjustable ...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)
Looking at rear damper stay on 44b,s and comparing manuals of 44b and Zerda. Zerda has the stay fitted reverse to the 44b in manual illustrations. I wonder if it's an error in the 44b manual as the zerda method offers a better angle, alignment and clearance of the damper to the suspension arm. Unles...

Re: Hirobo Rockn City - rhyming slang or refurb.
Watch out for different size front suspension arms between 44b and zerda. Part nos. Ct1 on 44b and zr1 zerda
I haven't compared the dogbones but could if you want
