Re: Printed gears question

Thanks Doug

It appears that to find any Google reference to the gear and find their site you must add "acetal" in the search terms.

And RWR doesn't use Kyosho's part #?

Anyways to beat that, shipping was 6 quid!

Printed gears question

I recently had 2 Kyosho OT-85 center gears (idlers) printed by Shapeways. The gears were printed MJF PA12. Vapor smoothing or any smoothing was not an option. The gear faces are not particularly well finished. Probably nature of the beast. I really just wanted try and design a proper gear in 360 to ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

An MIP counter gear OT-85 replacement. This gear is most probably .8 mod and has very smooth gear face. And a pair of printed center gears OT-85 ( MJF PA12 ). MIP & center gears.1.JPG Kyosho's OT-86 gear faces look more like a meat grinder or medieval torture device. Kyosho OT-86.1.png Not s...

Re: Where are you getting your tie-rods?

On a couple of builds I've used Secraft stainless steel tie rods.
They are cheap and have a pretty cool retro vibe.
Both 4-40 and m3

Hello there rrichard8405,

There is a forum rule that applies to your question. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=7465
Don't be offended if there are no answers to your question in this forum.
Similar Ebay "sold" items are probably your best reference.

Not really sure why but decided to light up my old Sony neon from my store today.
Maybe for any Gen "X"ers.

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE

For the handful of you that have Platinum shocks.... Several months ago, while working on my shocks, I had tried new white P4 orings. They turned out to have been too tight and have too much friction. The original orange Kyosho orings were somewhat leaky, and after reinstalling them they still tende...
