Re: A peek into the Harris garage

Hey Jeff, I have just a couple questions for you, being the racing guru that you are. On you B4 Wingmounts, I don't see any washer/spacers between the tower and the posts. I've got a B4 mount on my original 94CE tower and I'm either going to have to trim the wing down, drill different holes, or add ...

Re: Strange steering/throttle issue with Slash

Well, you aren't the Lone Ranger to have this happen! I purchased a FlySky GT2 2.4 ghz for my current "rebuild" project and it did the exact same thing to me. Here's what is really odd, though. The batteries in the transmitter showed to have excellent charge. Tried them in a Magnum Sport a...

Re: Marui Galaxy Rebuild - Finished!

LOVE what you have done with your brother's Galaxy! One of my best friends back in the day had one and I had an MRC Rockbuster and he used to eat my lunch with his Galaxy. I always kinda liked the driver in there though...gave it that "scale racer" look that most of the 2wd buggies just di...

Re: 1.9 TIRES?

They are UBER soft and pliable. I think asphalt will eat them up very quickly with a hot motor (probably going to be putting a 540 15T2w on it, maybe slap 3500kvs once in a while with 2s) but I intend to run it predominately on a loose but short/tight track. But yeah, I'm thinking they'll make for a...

Re: Let's see your worst paint jobs!!!

I think I can guarantee a winner with THIS one....Here's an old body that I sprayed in about 2 minutes. It is BAD. Like, REALLY bad! Hahahaha. Even worse was I was in my 20's when I did it. NO patience, just wanted a lid to go running with. As you can see by the missing pieces, the body took a beati...

Re: 1.9 TIRES?

Actual diameter (mounted ProLine Chisel g8 1.9" crawler tires) is right in the neighborhood of 3.45" total diameter.
Here's another pic with a clear body/wing on board with these tires that I took last night...

Re: 1.9 TIRES?

The 1.9" Rock Crawling tires do mount right up on the 3 piece wheels from a 1994 C.E. kit. I'll break out the digital calipers tonight and post some numbers. They're a little bit taller than the tires that came in the kit but they look aggressive! I'm in the process of whipping my 94CE back int...

Vintage RC-10 Stealth to SC Truck Conversion???

I've been kicking around the idea of converting a Stealth gold pan CE into a Short Course truck. Has anyone given this a whirl yet? Throw some thought into it and toss out some ideas on parts that might be needed that are readily available. I can't wait to hear some ideas from this motley crew of RC...

Re: Kyosho Vanning

I sure do get a kick out of this one! One of my buddies had one back in the day. He put a helicopter engine in his somehow and the thing would flat out move like there was no tomorrow. Makes me wonder if he kept it, because I don't think he destroyed it in the process. Do you remember an electric 2w...
