Re: Regional A final wanna-be
Thanks Scr8p, if your gonna get some let me know, i'll get some too if thats ok? :) Well the slipper is sorted, it has a stealth slipper back plate, B4 spur with dual pads, and B4 front plate, with Losi spring and nut etc. It sticks through the spur gear cover, but thats not a problem, I think it lo...

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
Well, I've gone with B4 threaded rear shocks, and team teflon fronts (until I can get some threaded bodies, thanks Scr8p!). I've gone with this set-up to start with: Front: 30wt oil #1 piston Blue spring Outer wishbone, middle tower Rear: 27 1/2wt oil #1 piston Silver spring Outer wishbone, 1 out fr...

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
I could have sworn someone had posted a shock set-up from back in the day for one of these cars, one of Dreshers old set-ups I think?
Did I dream it?

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
China coating
Anyway, looks like I'm gonna rebuild the original shocks with some awesome Nor-Tech Racing 'Whitie' O-rings and use them, I think that'll be easiest. They are in good shape apart from the o-rings

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
Just to modern it up really. Threaded shocks are so much easier to tune in practise when you have limited time.

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
Well, I milled away the triangular blocks to move the shock tower forward, and with some 20 degree (I think) castor blocks fitted it fixed my problem without having to cut down the Losi balljoints or fit shorter ones. :D :D :D The B4 front shocks are too long though, I thought I might get away with ...

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
Thanks, have you cut them so they are a similar length to the std AE ones?

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
Mmmmm, I guess thats the problem, the Losi ball joints are WAY long, nearly twice the length of the original white AE ones. If I have my steering the same as yours, the inner camberlink ball joint hits the steering ball joint, not the turnbuckle. I guess I need a shorter inner ball joint. I might mo...

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
Hi ra272, Yeh, it's a problem on my car for some reason. If I have the suspension on full droop, I can get full lock (say right), but I can only get the wishbone to about level before the ball joints hit. If I force it higher, the fouling forces the steering to go straight ahead! It's not ju...

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
I see Temple has some new tech looking ball joints on his car here:

Anyone know what they are?

Re: Regional A final wanna-be
Time to bring this one back. Thanks to Scr8p (thanks again) I have all the parts I need to finish this (I think). But I've hit a snag tonight. I've fitted Losi white ball cups and now the steering and camber links hit each other when the steering is in lock. On full lock the steering link is sat und...
