Re: Topcat / Cougar Differential Differences?

I used to use Jrx2 diff rings BITD with the hex diff in my Procat. The Losi diff rings slip straight on to the hex diff carriers and are a lot harder.

Re: Will a traxxas brushless velineon 380 motor fit in my rc

I once put a 380 brushless motor into my Evader BX pro. I used a grasshopper 380 motor adapter plate.

The motor was only 2000 kv but it went surprisingly well with a 3s 2200 mah pack. Had similar performance to a 19T brushed motor.

Re: Lipo voltage tester

I use a HobbyKing Battery Medic. It gives you individual cell voltages as well as pack voltage. I also sometimes use it for balancing and storage discharging smaller packs. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/catalog/cell-medic-1.jpg http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idPr...

Re: Fabiix 2000 - Mid Engined conversion from 1994

Isn't it funny that back than they were on a good concept of a mid motor 2wd but it never took off. Tekin had a 2wd mid conversion for some buggies as well and even R.P.M did too i think. Fast forward over a decade and it's all coming back, Schumacher, Losi, X5 and others are all now on mid motor 2...

Some Kydex might be good for making up bumpers.

Re: lunchbox pinion gear???

If you run the LB-sized tires, you won't need any larger pinion if you swap out the silver can for a hotter motor. We were running a 27t P2K in the kids' LB and it was too fast. The LB handles like a bowling ball with more power. I run a novak SS 5800kv brushless setup with lipos in my lunchb...

Re: Venom Lipo

Thats the only real thing with Hobbyking packs.. the after sales isn't so good, unless you want to pay post back to china. Anyway I look at it like this. For the price of one Venom 7.4V 5000 20c pack I can buy 3-6 equivalent Hobbyking Turnigy hardcase packs (including post). If one goes south, well ...

Re: Venom Lipo

Definitely go hard case. I've got a couple of Turnigy 5000mAh 20C hardcase packs I just recently picked up for my Brushless Lunch Box. $25 each including delivery. I've only put 4 cycles through them so far so can't comment on long term durability. I don't know if it matters but only 2 companies pro...

Re: Venom Lipo

Interesting, I'd have rated Venoms below the Hobbyking Turnigy packs. Then again I look at lipos from an RC aircraft perspective where nobody seems to use Venom packs in high performance models. Turnigy packs are commonly used and respected in that area. I don't think the Turnigy packs are ROAR appr...

Re: Help!! What oil and pistons for Tamiya dampers on Procat

Yea shorten those front shocks so they can be moved in to allow the front swaybar to be refitted. Should help with body roll a lot, and smoothen steering. Some other things you could try are, at the back, shims between the inner wishbone mount and gearbox on the rear screws, gives a bit more rear to...

Re: Help!! What oil and pistons for Tamiya dampers on Procat

Those shocks look too long.

I used to run my cars with a setup similar to what Phil Davies used on his Procat which worked very well. http://www.rc10talk.com/search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keywords=phil+davies&start=15

Re: My TOP CAT Runner....

Despite my best efforts with this car its the 'ratio' of those pivot rockers thats the real problem. Even with the heaviest of coils and dampening the front end still feels too light at times. Not like the upright set up at all. I think the biggest problem was that the pushrods weren't physically c...

Good score. A cleanup and a repro body/undertray and it will look sweet.

Got any body off shots?
