Re: Modern Runner for Open Track Days?
Just recently upgraded from a b4(+8mm) to a B5m Factory Light. After I broke my steering rack twice on the B4 and bought my tracks last one I thought it was time to upgrade to a B5m. You will feel like you are cheating when driving the B5m. Handles awesome out of the box! Having said that the 22 3.0...

Re: Bought a B5M last week
My first race with the B5m on a new layout was great. I didn't win, but I had a good time and that is all that really matters. b5mfinished.png It took a while to get used to the different handling characteristics compared to the B4, but once i did I almost felt like I was cheating  . The car ...

Re: Bought a B5M last week
The MIP Puck system and cut gears cuts down on the weight in the transmission. The MIP puck system also comes with lighter axles. Another upgrade I bought is a slipper eliminator to save even more weight. My B4 has all the same upgrades and it works great for 17.5. I bought the Kashima coated shock ...

Re: Bought a B5M last week
Your going to love this car. IMHO, I would have went with the Reedy Sonic M3 https://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/254/ Had good luck with Novak so far, and the bundle was not to expensive. Used the setup from Ryan C as I was building it. https://www.teamassociated.com/pdf/cars_and_trucks/RC...

Re: AE Takes Another World Championship
Oh, are they layed down like that? I'm not too familiar with the GT's? Yup. Check the truck forums. There's a couple of GT electric conversions with good pics. When looking at what parts shapeways had to offer I came across a LCG transmission for the B5M. http://www.shapeways.com/product/Z6LNYQLWM/...

Re: First Nitro RG10GT
Threw on my old SC10 tires and gave it a rip . It feels like the fastest R/C I own.. I remember my first GT. couldn't believe how fast it was. But I also went through so many engines before I learned lean and fast isn't always the best choice. Thank you for the warning. My plan is to tear do...

Re: How to break the cycle?
Got into RC when I was 9 and have been with it on an off for over 30 years. There are times I slow down working on them and racing, but I could never stop completely. I would recommend packing all the cars in boxes and clearing off your bench. This would make it more difficult to pull a car off the ...

Re: Coolest opportunity you have gotten with your RC?
I would say the coolest opportunity was spending time with my Dad building our cars and racing them on Sunday.
We both got the chance to drive our Blackfoots on the floor of the Worcester Centrum back in the 80's when the monster trucks were in town.
Good times
