How long does the super shorty battery hold out compared to normal shorty batteries?

Traxxas nitro buggy alternative body

Hi,
I am looking for an alternative body for the Traxxas Nitro Buggy. The Original has an cage around it. Does anyone know a body which fits nicely around the outlines of this chassis? I looked at the bandit body, but I am not sure, has anybody tried this?

is this an Original traxxas part, or aftermarket? And do you use the regular body on this newer chassis?

Re: Modern vs original mx-4

The main purpose of this car was to make something that could compete with modern cars, whilst still looking vintage. There was minimum extra cutting of the body needed.
It also resolved the problem of a lot of useless spare parts....

Re: Modern vs original mx-4

I understand it might sound like that. But everything has been changed to make it all fit under this body. The only parts that I used from this donor car is the front and rear gearbox with the center dogbones. Almost everything else is custom made.
You could say it isn't vintage anymore.

Re: Modern vs original mx-4

I bought a modern donor car, made a custom chassis to fit the lexan undertray of the mx4 body. Then put everything together.
It isn't as simple as described, but it comes down to that.

Here is my original yokomo mx-4 from 1998. Only mounted a servo mount, instead of the tape and went with fibre-lyte shock towers. It is my personal favourite. Have a look at it's modern brother https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=506858#p506858 .

Modern vs original mx-4

Since I had a lot of parts laying around, i figured to try and built an shaft driven mx-4. The MX-4 has always been my favourite looking car. The used parts are either from different brands or self designed and built. Chassis is laser cut from aluminium and carbon shock towers are custom as well. He...
