Re: Local consignment score

I didn't know of Hobby Central. I used to race at a shop with an outdoor offroad track in SD in the mid 90's off the 52 fwy. I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. They have since moved down Convoy St. a little ways and longer do the offroad stuff.... Today I just browsed th...

Re: Local consignment score

A very nice job of resurrecting this car Rich! I stopped in at a few thrift stores down here in my area today and couldn't even find cheap "toys 'r' us/radio shack" type cars, let alone hobby shop quality ones.... :( Nice find indeed!!

^^^ Great idea!!^^^ Or stamp out a few T2 shaped pans in the shorter buggy wheel base... :D That would be "one-off" and pretty sought after here on the forum.. 8)

Re: R/C Car Racing '93

I consulted a lawyer friend of mine and he stated that it could lead to hefty fines and even jail time if I got caught mailing illegal copies. Even free ones. I'm probably being way over paranoid, but I have a very expensive 4 year old. Your best bet is to get some video capturing software and uplo...

Re: The start of my "Team Themed" rides....

You don't HAVE to hand sand. Thats not what I did. I used an air powered 90 degree sander. I used a 2" arbor with 3" sanding discs and aluminum abrasive pads.(Kind of like an S.O.S. pad) The half inch overlap all the way around with the larger discs helps with feathering/blending the surfa...

Re: The start of my "Team Themed" rides....

Thanks guys! 8) Rich, All I meant was they don't look as NEON in the pics as they do in person... :D   Panhead, yeah Kawasaki green for sure! I thought about doing a Monster Energy/Pro-Circuit Kawasaki paint scheme on one of these, but I kinda want to go early 90's R/C retro scheme i...

Re: The start of my "Team Themed" rides....

Well, I got all my powder coating back last Thursday. Overall I'm happy with it. It is definitely NEON GREEN in person although the pics don't really show it. I'll have to get better shots out in the sun after I find my camera charger... There are some slight imperfections. Some are my fault ...

Here in the states, the Damn Yankees were a sorry attempt of being a decent late 80's metal band. You'd think by their name they would rock! But, not even close.....

Re: B3 rims from thunder tiger

Did I waist my money on these ? My real concern was the front wheels offset, they look like B4 wheels. Perhaps the TT buggy uses the longer GT wide axles? I picked up a set at my LHS on wednesday and noticed the same thing. A quick mock up on my graphite RC10 with 3/8 x 3/16 bearings, shows everyth...
