Re: New Toy SC10
I was running a old Kyosho mega motor in mine.Standard spur with a 17 tooth pinion.I think it was a 16 turn and was plenty fast enough and very drivable. Now Im running a 9 turn EZrun brushless combo but I really feel its too fast. What wheels are you running there?Look like a wider off set than stand...

Re: reedy radon 17 turn motor for vintage buggy?
These motors are OK but you wouldnt call them a full mod motor. They have bronze bushings and fixed timing but they are cheap.I use one in a grafite RC10.Just keep the gearing down as they do generate allot of heat.

Modern front 2 inch tires???
Just wondering if there is any Modern front 2 inch tires?.Losi do the rear 2 inch step pin but running these with old fronts is no good.I could cut down some modern fronts but would rather just buy some that are the correct size and compound.I have found some 2.1 inch but need the 2 inch for my Ulti...

Re: Removing tires from rims
Ive been thinking about starting a thread on which wheels can be acetoned. This is the only method I have ever used.I know Tamiya wheels cant be acetoned.I have used it on XXX and XX wheels,Kyosho Ultima outlaws,RC10T,J.C's,CAT 3000s and thats all I can remember.I would be interested if JRX2 5 spokes...

I want to do a similar thing and your cars look awsome. Is the silver one painted or is that raw alloy and is the blue one paint or anodised?

Re: Monster Beetle Body
There are reproduction lexan bodies available for the Monster beetle that fit straight up to the original mounts. If your running it these are a better option.

Re: brush cut
The only advantage I know of is to advance the timing on fixed timing motors, like the bottom diagram, not sure on the others.

Once you have cleaned it check the timing.Start at around 1-2 degrees.

Re: Losi Strike,quality???
I hear you on handling,my SC10 runs rings around it.While we were waiting for the hardened gear set we fitted another stock idler gear and it striped again. The guy in the shop said thats a common problem they have.Would have been nice for Losi to do some proper testing and fix the issues before rele...

Losi Strike,quality???
Just throwing this out there to see if anyone else on the board has run one of these trucks. My local hobby shop recently had a sale on the Strike as a roller and my Brother was looking at getting back into RC after a 7 or so year absence.I recomened the Strike as I have allways thought of Losi being...

Re: good drifting car?
You cant go past a tamiya TA03.They are 190mm but I run 9mm off sets on the front and 12mm on the back.Looks awsome with the deep wheels and they are cheap.
