Re: Rear wheel spacer alternative
Just a question. All of my cars are 1/4" axle, so I've never had any dealings with 3/16" axle cars. I understand that the spacers are a cleaner alternative, but would there be any problem with using a shim stack. I only ask because 3/16" and 5mm shims are cheap and readily available. ...

Re: Buggy and truck chassis the same?
At one time, one of my 10T's had an A stamp chassis and 6 gear. It was pieced together from leftover items from my buggy builds and spare truck parts.
It was my basher for a while. I later collected the parts to build it correctly and then used the chassis and trans to build another buggy.

Re: Convert RC10T to take Hex Wheel & Tires
I've used the A&L hex for 1/4" axles a couple times, it does work. It will also require a little finish work to fit snuggly against the axle pin. - It doesn't leave a lot of thread engagement, so some thread locker wouldn't be a bad idea. - Several hex wheels don't have enough radial cleara...

As nose tubes are non existent I made my own! Some Ali bar off eBay and got the lathe going! If you want to save some time in future builds, K&S 83060 tubing works great for nose and wing tubes. I use a set of soft vise pads similar to these to hold them. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Yost-Univer...

New member, so I'm a little late to this.
But if the 3D printed ot cast pieces don't work out for you, I have a few laying around in my spare parts box. If needed, I'd be happy to mail you one.

New guy from the south
Just touching base to say hello. New to the forum but in and out of the hobby since the early 90s. My online presence has been mostly based around full size drag cars and that is still a big part of my life (and disposable income). But I'm also fairly involved in fishing (mostly saltwater, inshore) ...
