Re: So, what did you do RC today?

My son figured out that the tall soft wall crawler tires that are (were  ) great for taller grass don't hold up to 10T brushless rolling burnouts. . 1000010892.jpg If he wants taller tires, why not try some from a Sledgehammer, Monster Beetle, or Blackfoot? While not soft, the Sledgehammer and...

An automatic center-punch might knock the pins loose.

11X8 bearing adapters and 4X8 bearings should do it.

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?

JC Racing has dish and spoke wheels for 1/4" axles. They are in the truck section, not the vintage section.

Jeff might still have some 1/4" rear wheels. I bought a couple sets a while back. I used them with JConcepts fronts (the gloss is a little different up close).

Yes. It protects the battery.

It will charge them but it doesn't have any form of peak detection.

Re: Vintage RC10 Brushed Stock Motor

I believe that type is from the later versions.

It uses a upright brush. Due to the popularity of crawlers, you have lots of replacement brush options.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

I wouldn't put a 64 pitch gear on a 6 gear transmission. The spur wobble will likely trash it.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

- With the release of the CC and 40th anniversary cars, there's a chance that AE might release a batch of new ones. - Same as above, you can look on Ebay for guys parting out new cars. - You can still find new original gears on Ebay from time to time. Expect them to be pricey. The newer black ones a...

Re: Who made the "off road stock" motor?

I have two of them. One is clearly a Yokomo, probably a newer version. The other doesn't have any markings, but it has a very Kyosho-ish vibe (the endbell and brush hoods are VERY similar).

For some reason, I like this idea.

Maybe because it's simple and I have always been a fan of the Diggers.

All of my comm sticks are made from a flexible material, similar to a hard eraser.

The Trinity comm pen was just a fiberglass pen. The same generic type is still available on Amazon.
