Nice job on the paint Jason. I can't get anywhere near that quality using cans.
It would be good to see that onboard camera footage...
Cheers,
Michael.

Re: JRXT buggy runner
I took advantage of the wet weather to do a little bit on this today. Please excuse the poor quality of my photography.

I like it Jason. Javelins always look tough, whether Orange, Yellow or Kermit...

Cheers,
Michael.

Re: Used Optima Mid SE
Yeah, my mystake. I had actually modded mine and forgot about it.
I loved my Mid SE with the 240ST in it. The night I finished building it, I charged up a brand new 1700SCE and tore up my backyard!
Cheers,
Michael.

Re: Le Mans motor collection.
What was the winds on these motors?. http://theoptimahouse.blogspot.fi/2007/01/le-mans-motors-specs.html Jirka It says my first motor, a 600E was a 30 turn. No wonder it didn't seem any faster than my mabuchi 540. The 240T being a 16 turn makes a bit of sense. It was a huge improvement. Cheer...

Re: JRXT buggy runner
Is LOSA5015 the part no. for the shock cartridges? Yes! :D .... I should know, I spent an hour so last night re-building my JRX2 shocks with some fresh seals/cartridges. These later cartridges are lower profile so allow for more (outwards) travel compared with the old style items - I added the slig...

Re: Dads old Ford Ranger F150
I picked up a barely used F150 Ranger for $40 once. I dont know why I got it because I ended up destroying it almost straight away. Drove it over huge jumps, repeatedly rammed it into a brick wall. Towed it around behind another car and made it whip into solid objects like walls and curbs. I even tr...

Re: JRXT buggy runner
Cool, I will go for a Pro rear tower then. What about for the front?
I will run without a slipper until the time comes when i can get my hands on the needed bits for it.
Cheers,
Michael.

Re: Used Optima Mid SE
Of the 3 SWB Mids, only the Turbo Mid came with turnbuckles, the standard Mid and the SE both came with the plain tie rods. Keith  Ahh thanks Keith, my memory failed me! I had an SE and a Turbo. I think what I did was put the Turbo turnbuckles on the SE. Along with the Gold shocks... Cheers, ...

Re: JRXT buggy runner
Kaiser, I think I will try some new cartidges first. Then if that doesn't work for me I'll get some XXXT shocks. The track/s I want to run at are fairly smooth. I will try the H-arms first. I didn't run a slipper back then either. I will mostly be using a silver can in it but then again the gears ar...

Re: JRXT buggy runner
Thanks for the replies guys!
Mytimac,
Can you give me a required parts list for the slipper?
If I stick with the H-arms, should I go for a Pro-SE rear tower?
Cheers,
Michael.

JRXT buggy runner
G'day everyone, I'm getting keen on rebuilding my JRXT for use as a vintage class runner. I bought it new in 1990 and ran it as a lwb buggy and never really did many mods to it except an RPM H-arm conversion, Kyosho gold shocks and ball raced steering. I need some input and opinions to get this back...
