AYK chassis - may be a Roadrunner (25 Sept20)

I picked this up a while ago and I think this may be an AYK chassis . I don't know what car it was made for either . It came with an AYK 3000 expert instruction book, but I don't think that what this chassis is. Anyone recognize it? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50375214462_b57673ad8c_h.jpg ht...

Re: What are your favourite slot cars ?

Although I personally have nothing larger than HO scale, the Scalextric cars have such amazing detail that I would choose them first. That said, I love vintage AFX MagnaTraction slot cars the best. They have just the right amount of speed and yet looseness that it becomes a real strategy to race ar...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Agree Dadio - looks nice. I already had the Tamiya Lamborghini Cheetah , and with XR311 being part of the same chassis family I just had to get it. The XR311 will be a runner - that will leave the Cheetah to remain as a shelf queen. :D Here is a video showing the interesting torsion bar suspension o...

Re: Your favourite slot cars ?

Tamiya made some of the most amazing slot car chassis and best detailed bodies around during the 1960s - with some cutting edge tech. Here is a Tamiya King Cobra - waiting for restoration. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49594414738_7bf2d942fe_z.jpg This car runs a Tamiya "Y" chassis ,...

What are your favourite slot cars ?

Well this is nice to find here on an RC forum - a dedicated Slot Car section. Slotties are a passion for me . Vintage 1:24th and 1:32 scale from the 1960s especially. I have to say my favourite slot cars were made by Tamiya , COX , MPC , Monogram and Scalextric. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/4...

Re: The Real Deal

I'm definitely no expert but except for the body and wing, the car appears to be intact. Should be a fun restoration project. Looking forward to updates. By chance have you seen this: ARgbbKFmFY8 I'm guessing the gold wheels on your car are original while the white ones on Matteo's car are re-re? M...
