Re: Tamiya Fox re-re

The biggest issue I recall from our tracks bitd is the motor mounted in the back. The flimsy plastic cage that is supposed to protect the motor is no match for a gold tub noseplate. I remember a lot of grinding gears as the impact would just snap the trans housing at the motor mount. I also r...

Re: Just in case you didn't know.....

I think this whole thread is useless. There are members here on opposite ends of the spectrum (politically, morally, or whatever meter you want to use) who will never reach a common ground. I think you should all just realize that and stop with the attempts to bend someone else's beliefs to meet you...

Re: Hobby money

Typically the Paypal account is RC money. I do contract work and so I am at several different locations throughout the week- so not only do clients and their employees know me as the 'rc guy', most of the people in adjacent offices and buildings know me as that nut who flies his planes at lunch in t...

Re: Craiglist rc parts/cars posts, hilarity thread

http://nh.craigslist.org/for/3716890854.html This one cracks me up- just the terrible condition and that he keeps reposting it at the same price. Not to mention that his whole setup was probably less than $400 when brand new 20+ years ago. This has to be the 5th time in 3 weeks he reposted (btw how ...

Hotshot outjumping a nitro Rustler. ;)

For the most part (when I do get to the track) my Hotshot or RC10 runs in with stadium truck (elec & nitro usually get combined) as there is not much local vintage action.

Re: 2.2 aluminum jellybeans

I have his Hotshot wheels (in black) that he did a few years back. Very nice work and reasonable prices for what you get.
Overseas shipping (& the slow boat) are always a pain!

Re: oddities : post them here..

Sure do, my Charger has one! I actually liked the idea of switching high beams on/off with my left foot. I wonder why that design idea died? The location was rough on the switch (moisture, dirt, etc) but I think the main reason was as cars got smaller there was less room on the left for a switch- y...

Re: Which old skool esc?

I only owned one esc bitd - a Futaba FP-MC8 which was about the size of a pack of cigarettes and if I recall the box had a $109.99 sticker on it. It ran for 2 seasons in 2 different cars (Hotshot & RC10)- mainly with 27t stock and Kyosho LeMans motors (down the the 240 series) on 6-cell 1200 pac...

Incredible collection Bob!
I do have to ask-- what are the Winnebago models? RC or static? Promotional items?
