Re: Futaba Fasst receiver choices
I'm pretty sure the 6 channels are considered aircraft use, which most likely will not bind. Futaba seems to keep air and surface separate.

Re: The Vintage 1/8 Onroad Thread
Very nice car. Too bad 1/8 bodies aren't like that anymore, that looks wicked.

If a B3 is vintage, the TC3 is.
Remember, not that long ago you could buy RC10 cars for dirt cheap.

Re: Copying Lexan parts
I would try contacting TeamBlueGroove, they do fairly decent repros of all kinds of stuff, including some Hirobo offerings: https://www.ebay.com/itm/HIROBO-ALIEN-MID4-MID-4-BODY-VINTAGE/112811895806 They might be interested in repopping your gear cover. I sold TBG the original for the Hirobo Alien ...

SRB/Sand Scorcher B4 slipper mod
A few years ago I picked up a basket case Rough Rider for like $10 at the going out of business sale of a long time hobby shop. I bought it because it was cheap and original, and I thought it would be fun to take apart. I had no plans for it. Fast forward to 1300GT's incredible 4WD SRB thread . That...

Re: RC10 Sprint Car Conversion
I have the exact cage on a Trinity Reflex sprint car conversion. I don't think that Trinity made it but it everything fits exactly the way it should around the gearbox and transmission. Picture packs 515.JPG Super old thread, but the reason I expect the Kyosho cage fit the Reflex so well was probab...

Re: Shodog's HPI RS4 Pro2
It was a red prince at one time. I really had no interest in a optioned out Frog 10 years after I had moved on to RC10s, sedans, etc. This had sat in my parent's basement for years. Had I known so many people would be interested in Hot Trick parts years later, I would not have used the chassis, or t...

Re: Shodog's HPI RS4 Pro2
The RS4 Pro and Pro2 were great cars. Tamiya may have kicked the genre off, but HPI made the competition end of things explode. When I started racing on road, these cars were in a huge percentage of the pits. In a now regrettable decision, I used a Hot Trick Frog chassis to make the roll center plat...

Re: 1987 ROAR offroad nationals
I talked to Don Jones last Sunday, he still has his 2WD Mod winning car in his basement. He said it was built off a piece of graphite with a kickup. Rc10 short arm parts on the front, rear trailing arms, Kyosho shocks. He told me he almost let Mike Giem run the car, as it was so good, but decided to...

Weird Lazer drive hub/layshaft
I bought a Lazer ZX-R (as best I can tell) off of ebay. I'm pretty sure it was raced at some point, because it was outfitted with Losi shocks, and the finned heatsink/motor mount. I also think it became a toy or was sold off later. In any case, I was tearing it down and came across this funky drive ...

Re: Flying with RC stuff? Checked bags
Generally, I bring the car in the carry on, and keep the battery in the car. When I read the TSA rules, if the battery is in the device using it, you should be ok. When you are carrying loose batteries is when you can get into problems with capacity, etc. I take the car and the radio with me in carr...

Re: Intrigued by RC bikes...suggestions?
RC Groups had a pretty decent motorcycle forum. There is a lot to read there.
