Re: More AE parts being discontinued

Re: RC10 Fiberglass Chassis?

I guarantee you are right, now I remember that as an RCH. There should also be some sort of tube setup to stiffen it front to back if I remember.

I remember for a little while the hot lick for sprint car was a narrowed RC10 graphite with the Sideways cage.

Quite timely, as now all the major racing brands are showing mid motor cars. Tamiya was ahead of the game...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

There were a lot of "straight graphite" chassis back then. The original JRX2 comes to mind as a good example. Is that edge photo showing a sandwich of another material between layers of graphite? There was one company that sold a lot of chassis like that, maybe DA, with a wood core...??

Re: Zenith of the brushed pre-lipo esc?

As for escs, it was stuff like the LRP Quantums and KO VFS series at the end. The revitalized Tekin brought back the
G10, which was big but very good. Keyence kind of popped up in some circles as well, especially oval.

I'm pretty sure HV stood for "high variance", referring to the difference in wire gauge.

Re: Custom Works 2wd Prototype?

I know the Kyosho cage was popular for a while in the midwest to get rid of the metal cages. It would be consistent for someone to use the Kyosho cage while developing a car.

Not my car, Dieter posted it on facebook. Apparently, only this picture remains.

I ran into him at the track today. He said he used it in outlaw 3 minute money races around the St. Louis area. Pretty cool story.

Perhaps Richard Weatherly of the defunct Tenth Technologies has something to say about the shock design...Of course, Tamiya, Inc may also be interested.... https://www.tamiyaclub.com/tcimages/297/generated/img297_13092004152006_1_1100_.jpg http://www.rctech.net/forum/attachments/r-c-items-sale-trade...

Re: FSR Bullet (Sport, just added Pro)

Somehow I got a hold of one of these cars when they were actually in production. I raced it for a while, and I didn't have the durability issues that were mentioned previously.
