Re: If you could ask Race Prep's Mike Dunn......
The R & P brushes is a great success story. I would say that we first sold these in 1985 or 1986. We sold in the millions. Thats the truth. Every R or P brush that was sold went through our shop first no matter who packaged it. Early in our venture into the motor brush market I was testing a nu...

Re: The last Off-Roader I raced - Losi XXX
I agree with Rick, seems everything these days has dish rims, booooring. I raced my XX a bunch a couple of years ago, got a lot of positive comments on the spokes, guys wanted to know where I got them. For the XXX some guys are switching back to some of the earlier XXX stuff, the BK2 rear arm...

Re: If you could ask Race Prep's Mike Dunn......
Another awesome thread brewing here me thinks, a hearty Thank You to Mr. Harris and Mr. Dunn. How about something deceptively simple, yet vital, motor brushes. The R & P brushes that were a common starting brush for stock and mod builds, sold under many names if I remember. Weren’t these a Race ...

Re: Jack Johnson's prototype lxt Body
That is one fugly body, and I have an unforgettable memory about it: The prototype LXT debuted at the ’91 ROAR truck nationals. Our group was watching the action, new Losi driver Jay Halsey happened to be marshalling in front of us. After the heat he turns and asks what we thought of the body. Well ...

Re: Kyle Reed '92 Roar Offroad Nats replica...
I got the super glue idea from Paul Sinclair (X Factory). When they started testing the stadium truck chassis, they basically cut the buggy chassis in half and spliced in about 3/4" of another. Brian K. did the testing on it and managed to crack the chassis in two. About an inch behind where t...

Wow, only a couple small clues that it's not brand new. Sweet.
Interesting avatar for a new Losi owner.

Re: TALL TALES AT THE TRACK
Sorry to hear you experiences weren’t good Halgar. Guess I’ve been more fortunate, I’ve been involved in many types of racing practically my whole life, not just RC. Traveling to many tracks. My experience (and my Son’s thankfully) has been quite positive, I’ve always enjoyed the guys, and occasiona...

Re: TALL TALES AT THE TRACK
Used to race with a Father-Son team that had the same paint. Neither were terribly good drivers, but excellent people & popular regulars at the track. One night after a big first turn pileup, the dad got away quickly and was driving the race of his life, really going good. But his young son thou...

Actually I’ve ran old stuff with no cut off a fair amount too. I use the ‘I’m old and my eyes start hurting’ method.
