Re: $15.00 lipos

2 issues I think, the low voltage cut off you mention. Be sure to use an alarm or cut off, stop if you notice any drop off in performance, remember to unhook the battery when done.

And watch you brushed motor temps and such, lipos run longer so it’s harder on the motors!

Re: I'm not a Losi guy but I had to jump on this

No problem Aconsola, glad to help. Besides I owe you, you’ve helped me out with my faded memory several times on the early stuff, Thank You Sir. I can remember the CR stuff a little better than all of the old JR details that I once knew! (of course anyone please add/correct to my list if you can) Ye...

Re: I'm not a Losi guy but I had to jump on this

What I can think of offhand, the CR has: ~0.2” longer chassis. Many parts are EA3 instead of graphite, chassis, arms, t plate, towers, etc. (more flex, better for 1/8 rough tracks). Quick change rear with aluminum hubs (with vertical ball studs, not sure if MF2 had that). Rims for quick change rear ...

Re: greetings from techschool in the airforce

Hummm USAF tech school…. Any chance you might work on the B-2 Stealth Bomber? I have a nephew flying those crazy things. Well at least he claims so, but how can you tell for sure, maybe they just say it’s there?  Good to hear things are going well, continued Best Wishes, take care of...

Re: Losi Gearbox fitted to a British Buggy

Nice clean looking buggy, and a good story. I’ve got a soft spot for tranny changes, done a few myself, cool stuff. :D

Are the rear arm inner pivots custom too?

Re: Reggie's sole Losi ;)

Remember the letter Gil Jr wrote in the early ‘90s, recommending that foam inserts should be banned? To prevent the super soft high wear tires, would be fairly easy to tech. It was published in one of the magazines, RC Car Action I think?

Re: JRXT

Sweet build :D I have seen very few with the early non servo saver cutout chassis, but ( and this is only as i'm told) the early chassis trucks have different bellcranks ( not mine either) and the old style battery box, and non reinforced link posts. I'm learning, but I assume like AE, there are a l...

Seems more like a X Factory 4 gear job, I mean, aren’t there 2 idler gears in there?

(wow, I really do need to get a hobby)

P.S. Can't wait to see what Halgar comes up with the notion of 2 idler gears in the Gov's head!!!

Re: Why Mr Lex Should Not Build RC10's

I’m sure not offering any guarantees here, but I have a considerable number of 1400 SCR, some 1700 SCE and 1200 SCRs, no issue with leaking as far as I can tell. Including a bunch of cycling, both mild and abusive to a few 1400s about a year ago in an unsuccessful attempt to see if I could revive th...

I went through this over 20 years ago. I was losing motor control of my left leg. Fortunately it came right back.

Best wishes.
